Hast du denn die Paketquelle auch wie beschrieben hinzugefügt? Bei mir taucht Serviio nämlich in den Community Packages auf.

Du kannst die Seriennummer doch einfach in die syslinux.cfg eintragen!?! Dann wird sie für das komplette System genutzt.

Interessant wäre wie/warum das Update fehlschlägt? Gibt es irgendeine Fehlermeldung?

Das könnte an einer Wake-On-Lan Einstellung liegen. Einige Mainboards oder auch Router unterstützen die Funktion das das entsprechende Gerät bei Zugriff automatisch gestartet werden soll. Das würde ich mal als erstes überprüfen.

Hm, my DOM is only 256MB. It is the standard DOM. Did you buy a new one?

@sbv3000: When i flash the DOM with the xpe image then it loads from the dom without problems. My problem is when i start xpenology with a usb stick i can't access the dom because the system doesn't see. @pastrychef: The only "advantage" is that DSM boots much faster with the DOM.

Can anybody help me with this one? It's really annoying to always use a linux live stick.

Strange, my fdisk doesn't show the DOM, as you can see in my post before.

How did you manage to access the DOM from within xpenology? I tried to find the DOM via ssh and "fdisk -l" command, but i only see my 3 2TB Disks and my USB Stick. I use the graphic card to boot into a live linux system. After some testing with a new bootloader on a usb stick i boot a linux live system to "install" the bootloader onto the internal pata DOM device. And sometimes the boot priority is mixed up, so i have to access the bios to correct it again.

Hi everyone, i use a Intel SS4200 as xpenology server. This machine doesn't have a built in graphics card and only a pcie x1 slot. I bought a pcie x1 to x16 riser cable and attached an (very) old Club 3D X300S graphics card. Now evertime i want to install a new XPEnoboot-loader i have to disconnect the graphics card because the system hangs at variable points when i leave the graphics card attached. When i install the bootloader without graphics card and then reboot the system with attached graphics card everything works. Can someone help me with this one? Is the graphics card too old? Do i need a newer one? Greetings holybabel

Ein paar Fragen kann ich beantworten: Das Betriebssystem (DSM) wird grundsätzlich auf alle vorhandenen Platten installiert, so dass bei Ausfall einer Platte das System trotzdem noch bootfähig ist. Die Probleme deines Kumpels kann ich daher nicht verstehen, ausser er hatte eine Synology mit nur einer Festplatte. Der Bootloader (Xpenology) kann auf einen USB-Stick oder als Image bei einer VM genutzt werden. Der Stick/das Image müssen dann bei jedem Start als Startmedium genutzt werden. Mein Kenntnisstand zum Thema IP-Kameras ist das Original-Lizenzen nur mit einer original Seriennummer einer echten Synology funktionieren. Wenn du eine hast, dann kannst du diese im Bootloader angeben. Wenn du keine hast musst du entweder auf illegale Lizenzen setzen oder das Thema vergessen. Die Originalapps (zumindest meine Android-Apps) funktionieren ohne Einschränkungen. Zum Thema Hardware kann ich leider nicht viel sagen. Versuchst du dich über ssh anzumelden oder direkt über die console? Über ssh müsste eigentlich deine Username/PW Kombination passen. Über die console musst du dir das Passwort jeden Tag neu besorgen: https://wrgms.com/synologys-secret-telnet-password/ Gruß holybabel

Hm, ich kann nur sagen das mein Xpenology auf 5.2-5592 Update 4 läuft und ich ebenfalls SHR einsetze. Habe keinerlei Probleme.

Woher hast du die Info das es SHR in der aktuellen DSM-Version nicht mehr geben soll? Das würde mich doch sehr stark wundern.
