  1. I've been using DSM on my QNAP TS-861 Pro for an extended period and have been thoroughly satisfied with its performance and stability. I haven't encountered any problems so far. However, there's one minor annoyance that has persisted: the LCD display remains stuck at "system booting." I'm aware that there is a module available for TrueNAS to address this issue, but I haven't yet found a solution to make the display work on a QNAP running DSM. Does anyone know if it's even possible to achieve this?
  2. Reporting back that I have installed 7.2 Update 3 without any issues, all working
  3. Yes, I just installed DSM 7.2-64570 Update 3 on my PX4-300D works flawlessly !
  4. I currently have several Xpenology units in operation, all functioning seamlessly with ARPL. I'm quite pleased with their performance and overall stability. While everything is working flawlessly, I have encountered a minor issue that is more a matter of my personal preference than a problem with ARPL or Xpenology. Nonetheless, I'd like to address this loose end before considering the project a 100% success. Specifically, when I boot up DSM, I can see the bootloader USB drive in the DSM GUI. I'm interested in finding an automated way to unmount it. I've attempted to create a user-script in which I specify the `/dev/` path to the USB drive to umount, but unfortunately, the GUI doesn't reflect the fact that the USB drive has been unmounted. I'm reaching out for advice on how to achieve this automatic unmounting of the USB drive. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I've completed the installation of DSM 7.2-64570 Update 3, and I've also taken the opportunity to upgrade the system's RAM to 8GB. The result has been nothing short of impressive, with the system running flawlessly and demonstrating a remarkable performance boost that has left me truly amazed! This upgrade has undoubtedly enhanced the overall functionality and efficiency of the system, making it a valuable improvement.

  12. Ok, so there seems to be a lot of confusion here I am using https://github.com/fbelavenuto/arpl, obviously you need to get the latest version, so you can install 7.2 otherwise it's not going to work. You can see the comment "Added toolchain/toolkit for 7.2 version by @fbelavenuto in #624" on the GitHub page, so it's ready for 7.2 Download v1.1-beta2a, Use a new USB stick, Burn it to the new USB, Boot from the new USB Create the bootloader ok ?
  13. What is the recommended process to follow ? I'd like to do this on my currently working QNAP TS-651 which has a working DS920+ which is operating without any issues Do I just recreate the bootloader and select the image for DS1621+ ?
  14. I used the new bootloader on a new USB stick and obviously needed to create the bootloader as it was a fresh install After walking through the menu, I did have the option of selecting 64561, the bootloader installed and I rebooted and was upgraded to 7.2-64561, I did not do the upgrade manually Hope this helps
