  1. "Then i boot the nas with window on a usb and use OCCT to do memory stress test which reveal hundreds of error." Can you provide steps on how to do that?
  2. I tested each module and both together. Pass. My best guess it is a software issue at this point. I'll do dmesg next time this happens and get the logs.
  3. I'm having exactly the same issues as you. I have Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-10105T CPU @ 3.00GHz. DS918+. 16 GB memory (8GB 2x. But different speeds). Although the system uses the lower speed RAM I thought it would not be an issue. SSH works and SMB as well. It is only quickconnect and port 5000/5001. This led me to suspect the issue with Synology software rather than a system hardware issue. I'm running Docker too. Trying to mitigate the issue, I just converted one of the SSDs from storage to SSD cache for volume1 trying to see if it would make a difference. I was searching for a memory test so I came across this post but I'm not sure where the problem is. I sometimes try to watch Plex but it becomes offline and after 20-30 minutes it comes back. Based on what I was reading somewhere that if there is an issue with memory, Synology will use swap and that might cause it. Not a 100% sure but that's the most logical explanation. Let me try to do a memory test on my system and get back to you.
  4. Even on 1.1.9 if you restore the BIOS after disabling those options the loader still works. It was only needed the first time. You can restore the BIOS settings without a problem.
  5. I just tried a fresh USB with Arc Loader:1.1.14 It booted without a problem. It seems whatever was causing it got fixed.
  6. I just noticed an addon called Updatenotify. When you create your loader it is automatically selected. You can remove it and recreate the loader. Alternatively, you need arc control.spk which is an application that lets you configure arc. I got it from the Discord channel.
  7. https://auxxxilium.tech/wiki/arc/modell-plattform-auswaehlen/ Based on this article, the 920+ can only use 8 threads (probably 923+ too). The Ryzen 7 5825U has 16 threads. Basically you're losing half of the threads on your CPU with that configuration. Not sure if you care about that.
  8. You're welcome! Glad to hear it worked! I'm using Aoostar two bay system (the white one). BTW, even if you reset the BIOS it would still work. Quite boot also works. The only thing I found that would break it is using a new USB image for Arc Loader. Then you need to repeat the steps. If I have time I'll try to narrow things down. But it's Thanksgiving holiday here and I'm out of town.
  9. Yes, I just figured it out 1 hour ago, sort of. I spent all day working on it. Now, I have no idea exactly what is going on but here is something that might make it work for you. I did two things that fixed it for me. Try: 1. Disable all addons and trying to create a boot loader. Boot from it. It would not work. Power off the machine. 2. Go to your BIOS settings>Advanced>AMD CBS>FCH Common Options> Disable the following: I2C Configuration Options Uart Configuration Options ESPI Configuration Options LPC Configuration Options HFP Options Basically set all their options to DISABLE Now save and exit BIOS settings. Go to the DSM loader and try to boot from it. It will work. Now if you go back and enable all of those options back it would STILL WORK. Again I have no idea why. Now if you go back and enable all Addons back it will work. Maybe you don't need to disable those addons in the first place but this is what I did and what fixed it for me. I was able to get SA6400, DS3622xs+, DS1621+ working. The others might work as well but I didn't have enough time to test them. I use Synology Assistant on Windows to check whether it is available or not. You can also directly connect via the IP address of the machine. Do not use find.synology.com it is messed up and caches things. Totally useless. Let me know what happens.

  11. I just got a Chinese mini form PC with AMD 5828U CPU, 16 GB memory, 2 NIC Intel i226-v 2.5 Gbps network, WiFi. I put 18 TB HDD inside. For some reason I can't get to the Synology installation on port 5000. Unable to connect. Synology Assistant can't find it either. It is plugged to the ethernet via cable. I even removed the WiFi card and tried DS918+ and DS923+ but nothing made it detected. I need help.. https://aoostar.com/products/aoostar-r7-2-bay-nas-amd-ryzen-7-5700u-mini-pc8c-16t-up-to-4-3ghz-with-w11-pro-ddr4-16gb-ram-512gb-nvme-ssd I tried Arc Loader 1.1.9 and RR 24.11.12 but nothing made a difference. I tried DSM 7.1 and DSM 7.2 but that didn't help either.

  13. Sometimes the IP address changes after the installation. Check the router page for that. I'm using the Synology Assistant application on Windows for this stuff. It is a lot better than the web version. https://www.synology.com/en-id/support/download/DS918+
  14. Make sure you are using the correct serial number for the machine you are trying to install. I'm sure you did that but double check. Also what you can try is to put the SATA drive on a different port on the motherboard. For my case, one of the SATA ports is attached to the NVME slot. So try that as well.
  15. Interesting. Try the following: use a different browser to install the .pat file. For me switching between Firefox and Chrome did the trick. Somehow I think it had to do with the stored cache and cookies.
