  1. This is what I would do if I only had one NAS and two drives in a RAID 1 configuration, and I assume you have a backup of your data and settings: Get a new USB stick and follow this guide: https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/65408-automated-redpill-loader-arpl/ With ARPL you don't have to worry about Drive Slot Mapping, even if you build the DS920+ Then migrate your drives to the updated NAS and allow it to scrub.. or not. Then power down and add one of your new drives to the pool. I see your motherboard only has three SATA ports so do one drive at a time. This will take a long time so the next day you can remove one of the smaller drives from your system, then power down again and replace it with the other new drive. Reboot and repair your system. Its tedious, but adding the new drive first is the safest route incase you do loose a drive in the process.
  2. @tigs looks like your CPU is compatible. https://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/Intel-Xeon E3-1245 v3.html It is a Haswell CPU and has fma3 instructions, so you may have issues with either your BIOS settings or your motherboard. You can compare BIOS settings with these: I have built the DVA3221 on Xeon based hardware without issues.
  3. Please give the DS920+ a try on your hardware.
  4. You can find them here: https://github.com/pocopico/tinycore-redpill/releases/tag/v0.9.4.0
  5. What platform are you trying to build? Can you post your output?
  6. Can you try building a DS3622xs+ instead of the DS918+. The DS3622xs+ works better with LSI cards.
  7. As-tu bien configuré ton bios? Assurez-vous que votre mode de démarrage est UEFI et que votre option de démarrage SATA est définie sur AHCI. Essayez une nouvelle clé USB si vous en avez une.
  8. I also feel that someone should update the tutorials for TCRP. The commands you are using are outdated and have been changed slightly to reflect the model. Can you give information on your hardware? Try your build with the following if you don't have any special hardware that you need drivers for: [DS3622xs+] ./rploader.sh update ./rploader.sh fullupgrade ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+ ./rploader.sh identifyusb ./rploader.sh satamap ./rploader.sh build DS3622xs+-7.0.1-42218 ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 exitcheck.sh reboot
  9. What exactly is displayed on the screen? Do you have your BIOS configured correctly? Are you using the correct image file for your boot selection? Which loader are you using?...
  10. Have you read through this thread to see what is going on with the DVA3221 loader development? There has been a lot of success with non Synology hardware.
  11. Thats because the build command has been changed to reflect the model. Use this: ./rploader.sh build ds3615xs-7.0.1-42218 No one has updated the tutorials to reflect this change as yet
  12. Do you get the power supply warning on this build? I am curious if @fbelavenuto figured out a fix... I built a RS4021xs+ with the original M Shell on a Dell R620 that has two power supplies, but I get the warning. I haven't tried rebuilding with a new method.
  13. The only time I got a error like that was when I used the wrong image for my boot setting on an old board with an Atom CPU. I made a UEFI boot disk when I needed a BIOS/Legacy boot disk. But it looks like the BIOS on your board can be set either way. Make sure you are using the right image file for your boot setting.
  14. Can you give some information about your “new machine”? You can’t expect to get an answer with so little to go on… or did you solve the issue yourself?
  15. Can you try the DS3622xs+ instead of the DS920+?.. because the DS920+ needs a newer processor than the DS3622xs+
  16. Can you give information about your hardware?
  17. the file you want is over 300MB. If it is under 100, which is what most of the "updates" are you will get that error.
  18. I personally like the idea of bare metal builds, but virtualization has it benefits. 1- Yes you can install the latest DSM on most hardware 2- You have to use a USB to build the loader and to boot into the DMS. I have has issues bending or breaking a USB that sticks out, so you either need to purchase a low profile USB or get a dongle and keep it inside the case. 3- The installation of DSM has been stable for me since I upgraded from 6.2 to 7.x.x 4- All of the features are available for use with your original serial number 5- Yes you can use the Synology mobile apps (see # 4) 6- With the new loaders updates are not an issue like in the past. With your plans to expand in the future and if you are not looking for hardware transcoding, try the DS3622xs+ or the DS1621+(which is built on a Ryzen CPU) Have a look at this for hardware and platforms you can use: Then choose your loader creation method. TCRP is the best way to learn the process, but a lot has changed... so please read as much as you can:
  19. You can’t use that processor to build a DS920+. You need at least a Haswel, 4th gen Intel processor, for that. Try building the DS3622xs+ with that CPU. It works with most hardware
  21. Do you have another network card you can try? Other than that, make sure your BIOS settings are correct...
