Help Folks So I have this above laptop which I don't want to go to waste. Below is the set up Jun’s Loader v1.04b DS918+ Updated synoboot.img with VID and PID of your USB stick MAC address of the LAN adapter On my second laptop I am able to locate the server at find.synology.com Go through the installation process and pass the PAT file (btw do I need to do this process if it is for a fresh install ?) *****This is where i get stuck***** Now in the next window I get a message that the process will format all my connected drives If i go ahead the process formats my boot usb drive and when the process restarts their is no OS to boot into.... Question: DO I remove the USB boot drive while the DiskStation is being installed ? if yes then where does the DiskStation get installed and will I be able to boot into it when the process restarts ?
