  1. Update and recap Hi I have a custom Synology Nas with DSM and xpenology So far so good Until 1 week ago when all the issues started I've restarted a docker container No big deal until this When the Nas restarted I've seen that the disk was unavailable and the "volume 1" has crashed If you check on smart everything seems fine I've tried basically anything I could fine online and didn't fix the issue Now I bought a new external drive cause it's cheap and before trying anything else I want to back my "kinda working" Nas drive How can I do that? A cloning? Also another issue A folder on this disk is encrypted and I have the key to decrypt with a program provided by Synology
  2. some logs what the best way to do a disk backup? is there any other thing i could try in order to fix DSM?
  3. thanks a lot although i have an other issue my folder is encrypted therfore i have to first decrypt it i have no idea how i managed to access the drive with Windows with a weird program that want me to pay in order the extract the data is there any other way?
  4. hi everyone @flyride i hope some kind souls can help me. I have a xpenology machine with a single ironwolf nas drive with btrfs filesystem. Yesterday it crashed, only thing i've done before has been restarting a docker container. Saw some situation where the data could be accessed read-only, no luck here, even file station doesn't see any files. I desperately need to copy a personal encrypted folder off of it and i don't have backups. I saw some threads but they leads to nothing cause I can't loose any data. My hope is to force remounting the volume since the hd seems fine or learn a way to copy files off from a live usb or windows pc. I am running DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 2 if someone knows how to retrieve the data i would really appreciate I've already tried synologyCloudSyncDecryptionTool but on Windows it can't detect the drive, probably because Windows can't read BTRFS Some screenshots that could help all logs i could find were older than the date of the accident.
