  1. This is a good question! I am running a N40L but am holding back until this has been clarified I just tried booting on an HP Gen8 Microserver and had no ethernet or USB keyboard available once the login prompt was displayed. Re-loaded 5.1-5055 on the USB stick and all was back to normal. I'll wait and see how this develops but thanks for the effort so far! Gen8 Microserver here and the update went well..
  2. Someone using LSI (IBM) M1015 raid controller in this board (the Q1900B-ITX one)? I`m curious if the PCI-E G2 1x port can handle the theoretically max BW (500 MB/s) or my LSI will be limited? Ty.
  3. My issue is with md3. And no they were all new hdds.. why my volume1 lives in 2 mds? This is the question..
  4. Ok, thank you. I managed to install. I needed to set in the BIOS to "OS Controlled" and to install the cpufrequtils.
  5. Also, the rebuild for the MD2 was ~180xxx K/sec, but here is only ~45K-50K/sec. Why? PS: i modified the /proc/sys/dev/raid/speed_limit_max and /proc/sys/dev/raid/speed_limit_min values to 300000 .
  6. Hello, i have a HP Gen8 Microserver with 4x3TB HDDs in SHR. I have only one Volume (Volume1), but i have /dev/md3 too, why? Its normal? Until the 3th 3T i had md0, md1, and md2, not md3 too. At other Gen8, where i have 4x 3T from start i have this: Nas> cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : [linear] [raid0] [raid1] [raid10] [raid6] [raid5] [raid4] md2 : active raid5 sda5[0] sdd5[3] sdc5[2] sdb5[1] 8776594944 blocks super 1.2 level 5, 64k chunk, algorithm 2 [4/4] [uUUU] md1 : active raid1 sda2[0] sdb2[1] sdc2[2] sdd2[3] 2097088 blocks [12/4] [uUUU________] md0 : active raid1 sda1[0] sdb1[1] sdc1[2] sdd1[3] 2490176 blocks [12/4] [uUUU________] unused devices:
