  1. I ended up buying this adapter instead of the one recommended above because it takes advantage of the free mini pci-e connector that is intended for the Wi-Fi&BT module. It's cheaper and since I only need 2 more Sata ports, it fulfills all my requirements. Also, using that connection destined for wi-fi&BT for the purpose of adding more SATA ports frees up the only PCIe 2.0 x1 connection that my board has available.
  2. I have been using this command to download the ACPI driver (./rploader.sh ext ds920p-7.1.1-42962 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/redpill-load/master/redpill-acpid /rpext-index.json). Can you share with me an updated command to download ACPI for the latest version of DSM?
  3. Unfortunately ACPI addon is not working in DSM version 7.2/6456. The entire boot creation process fails if I use the ACPI addon in the latest version of DSM! That's why I'm asking how did you get around this problem?
  4. where did you download the "acpid.service file" and then how did you copy it to the directory you mention?
  5. Thanks for sharing. Do you currently use that Sata PCIe Expan Card in your Nas? And does it work well on DSM7?
  6. Thanks for answering my question but just to see if I got it right, are you saying that most ADDON's like the acpid power button are automatically added during boot creation using your M-Shell?
  7. Hi all I'm a complete noob in these matters and that's why I come here to this great Xpenlology community to ask for help! I built a Nas using an "ASUS J1800I-C CELERON J1800" motherboard which is very old and only has 2 SATA II ports. I need to install 2 more disks but as this board doesn't have more sata ports available I thought of using a sata pcie expansion card. Is there any sata pcie expansion card that works perfectly on DSM7 and that is compatible with mine motherboard that only has 1 single PCIe 2.0 x1 connection that you can recommend me? Thanks.
  8. How do I apply the acpid power button addon? What command should I use to get this applied?
  9. Is there any way to get the ACPI Button Driver working on ds920p-7.2.0-64561?

  12. I see a lot of people talking about the "with friend" command when building TCRP v0.9.2.9. What is TCRP withfriend, what is it for and what is the difference between TCRP v0.9.2.9 without this command?
  13. That's what I currently do. But this option in the bios has many limitations! For example, at least in my bios, you can only configure a single power up schedule with the following options: daily, weekly or monthly. You can't make the pc turn on on tuesday and then saturday without changing the bios settings!
  14. I have another older pc, with a 7 gen intel, where I tested the ds3622xs+ to see if the Power schedule StartUP worked and on that pc. I had to activate S5 in the bios for the pc to start up at the time I set it up. My problem is that if I don't activate the s5 in the bios the pc does not start at the programmed time and that on my pc with 10 Gen cpu it doesn't work because when I tell the pc to turn off it turns on after 2 seconds by itself!
  15. In my case, if I activate the S5 option in the bios my pc goes into a shutdown loop and then after 2 seconds it turns itself on again. I have an Asus PRIME H410I-PLUS with a Celeron G5905 (10 Gen) running perfectly stable on ds3622xs+ with TCRP 0.9.2.7
  16. I have an Asus PRIME H410I-PLUS with a Celeron G5905 (10 Gen) running perfectly stable on DS920+ with TCRP 0.9.2.7. Both Wake-on-LAN and the acpi driver work perfectly on the DS920+, unfortunately the only thing that doesn't work is the Power schedule StartUP option. I read somewhere here in the forum that the Power schedule StartUP worked correctly on the ds3622xs+ and so I decided to recreate a pen with the boot for the ds3622xs+ and test it on my pc. I also read that I have to activate an option called S5 in the bios of the pc, which I did. I completed the installation of ds3622xs+ and configured everything necessary for the test, including activating the WOL option. My problem happens when I shut down the pc (ds3622xs+), it starts up again after 2 seconds of shutting down! This always happens, even if you don't have any Power schedule StartUP defined. But if I disable the S5 option in the bios this behavior no longer happens. This loop of turning off the pc and it turning on immediately after 2 seconds only happens if I activate the S4/5 option (my bios has these 2 options) in the bios config. Just one more question, my pc takes more than 1 minute to start the DS920+ using TCRP 0.9.2.7 but with the same boot loader (TCRP 0.9.2.7) the DS3622xs+ starts up in less than 20 seconds! Why is there such a big difference in startup time?
  17. Is support for acpid already included in the creation of the bootloader using tinycore-redpill v0.9.2.7 or is it some add on that you need to add during boot creation? PS: WOL is working fine on my NAS (DS920+). The pc starts up after sending the magic package.
  18. With the help of "Peter Suh" I realized that TCPP didn't load this backup of ./rploader.sh and that's why I formatted the pen and recreated the image but this time I ran this command to backup ./rploader.sh .
  19. When you created the "Tinycore-Redpill" image at the end of the whole process did you do this last step? " ./rploader.sh clean now; rm -rf /mnt/sdb3/auxfiles; rm -rf /home/tc/custom-module; ./rploader.sh backup now; " Or did you use a script to create the image? It's just that I noticed that during the startup of TCRP it loads a backup that is created during the creation of the image and that's the backup that I was missing on my pen! Without it TCPP works incorrectly.
  20. Thank you so much for helping me. I finally managed to install update 3 thanks to your help. 😃
  21. I tried installing DSM 7.1-42661 Update 3 from DSM 7.1-42661 (DS918+) Update1 on my Nas and now my machine is stuck in in boot loops. In the "XPEnology Project DSM Updates Reporting" section users say they have succeeded but to do so they booted into TCRP and run these 3 commands: ./rloader.sh update sudo ./rploader.sh postupdate apollolake-7.1.0-42661 exitcheck.sh reboot My problem is that when I enter TCRP mode and try to execute these commands it always gives me the error "not fond". Then I try to enter through putty but it always gives me the error connection refused. what am i doing wrong?
