All rigth, It Worked on the xpenology that was failing, No Valid MAC or SN 1. Uninstalled AME 2. Rebooted Xpenology 3. Reinstalled AME (Witouth Opening) 4. Ran codepatch.sh -p (Patched all available instances) 5. Ran Python amepatch.py 6. Opened AME its working I use it for surveillance station, and all my cameras are streaming now at h265+ Cheers

Just did it right now, installed a new xpenology RS3621xs+, no valid SN or MAC, installed AME, patched only using amepatch.py and that's it, is running with no problems. >.< I don't Understand why only works on clean install. Mayne some dev can share some knowledge, Best regards

Do you have a Valid MAC/SN, Its kind of weird, these things work for me sometimes and sometimes not, i never use a valid mac/sn because whats the purpose of using xpenology if you have a synology hardware, unless you want more power, that could be the case. Well the thing is the only solution I found when things fail its to reinstall my xpenology from scratch and it works only using amepatch.py, have one xpenology machine who upgraded to 7.2.1 and damaged my ame because it updated and i tried all the pages in this thread and nothing works, so i will reinstall all and report back. Well I just had to restart, when I restarted synology detected the m.2 drives, well in my case u.2 drives and asked to assemble the volume, its working doing it like the example, And Thank you Peter, I do have installed DSM on a Sata, all is on a VM Esx with direct access to the U.2 Disks. Hi there, I managed to make my raid5 of 4 nmve drives, but now, how i get to use it on the nas? Like how do I assing a volume?

Something weird happened to me, I Installed, patched everything was ok, had to move the pc to another place so I powered off, and move it, when it came back on, patch wasnt working anymore, tried to repatch with no luck, uninstalled ame, deleted directories and everithing, it simple fails to patch error 256.

Because if a serial number is used multiple times it get blacklisted by synology, there is no way we can get white numbers for all xpenology people out there witouth giving the same "white" to other users.

Well this is how I do it, in Windows. (Just the first time) 1.- Download the script and save it in a temp folder like (C:\Temp\ame.py), or create a file in C:\Temp\ame.py and paste the script contents in it. 2.- I use and app called hfs.exe (google it "hfs web server") which create a web server for fast purposes. 3.- Run hfs then right click on the home/hose icon, add file and select the script from c:\temp\ame.py that will create a web link. On all the DSM I need to patch, remember all have to ve connected to the same network as your computer. 1.- Install AME 2.- Activate ssh access to your synology (Control Panel, Terminal & SNMP) 3.- Use any ssh tool to connect to it. If you in windows 10 or up, you can use powershell -> ssh adminuser@dsmip ex: ssh admin@192.168.1.30 4.- Grant root privileges running "sudo su" witouth quotes, it will ask you for your password again. 5.- Get the file with wget using the link provided in hfs. -> wget http://192.168.1.25:8081/ame.py (This is my ip yours may vary) 6.- Run the script -> python ame.py And that's it, I hope this helps,

Patch worked till version 7.1.1 On version 7.2, I get MD5 mismatch So don't update to 7.2 Yet, Also if your using DVA1622, be sure your serial number is rigth: 2260UBR###### Replace # with any number value, nJoy

El metodo de activacion funciona, si tienen contraseñas que comiencen con caracteres especiales o tengan cosas como &, no va funcionar por que el link no va interpretar bien su contraseña, les recomiendo hacer un usuario con una contraseña de solo letras y numeros o cambiar su contraseña a solo letras y numeros unicamente para la activacion y luego revertir el proceso, Los mismos errores me daba a mi ya que mi contraseña no solo comienza con caracter especial, tiene varios en su haber, Saludos,

This started to happen today, I will check my physical synology’s to check if its not an issue with them, its happening to me on bare metal and virtual environments, that previously where working with no issues and language is english.

Well I think the file downloaded doesnt match with the file expected, thats the same for arpl or for tinycore, at the end i found a working usb with dva 3221 7.0.1 and made and image and save it for future use, as for virtual found also a working vm with same specs and cloned it, I think there will be no more support for 7.0.1 going forward.
