  1. Followed the guide and got DSM installed as a Vbox 6.0 guest on Ubuntu 18.04 on a HP N54L hardware. Moreover, successfully added 3 raw disks to DSM and set up those as a RAID5 volume.     Dual boot with Windows 7

    I would suggest you 1st get DSM installed and running fine in your RAID disk. Then you put an additonal disk / SSD to the box and install Win7. If you can select the boot order in BIOS and get both running fine then it's almost done, just it would be prefect to add a boot menu in Win7 side to select which OS you want to boot from.
