will do budy ill test to see if i can do the drivers myself first n then see about gettin the dual nic also is there a limit to the nics im just thikin if i get 2 of them if both would work in the server to make it a quad nic ??

also had to start buying new hardware, I see there are not updating or adding drivers anymore...
now thats a shame they aint addin drivers i have been looking into compiling my own using windows 10 but instead of ubuntu i have used debian so gonna see if i can do it n poss get it working using the propper drivers but this stuff i am a true novice lol

as title states has anyone got dsm 6.2.2-24922 barebone on the dell poweredge R710 i can give hardware info & firmware needed for onboard ethernet if not and someone can poss do the drivers and i can test to see if it works

@IG-88 no pal didnt get it working but now im tryin to get dsm install on a dell poweredge r710 but the raid card isnt supported so need to find another way of fixing this

hi all as the topic heading suggests i have just been given a dell poweredge r710 it has the perc 6i raid controller and as i understand this raid card is not supported so my question is
1) is there a raid card i can use instead of the original 1 that is supported by xpenology.
2) has anyone mannaged to get dsm 6.2 on the dell power edge r710.

as the title states is it possible to update to the latest 6.2.1 using the HP NC360T Dual Port Gigabit NIC PCI-E i know the on board will not work i have a

i fixed it by doing a re-install but keeping all my data

hi all i have just got my server back up and running but now when i login i the desktop comes on then goes straight off and just shows a white screen can someone please help with a possible fix for this i have access via ssh as well

fixed it i found out that the modded bois i installed was the wrong 1 so it didnt even load my hdd's but found the correct 1 to use

hi all i have a hp proliant microserver n54l and i have the jun's loader 6.1.x and it boots but dont get a ip address at all i have even got a new HP NC360T Dual Port Gigabit NIC but for some reason it dont seem to want to get a ip address either can anyone give me some advice on what i could do to rectify this plz ??

If you need link aggregation you wont find much cheaper than that if memory serves me well. I could be wrong as I bought mine several years ago. If no link aggregation needed then there is a pletora of switches at all prices and most will do the job just fine.it is link aggregation im after as gettin a new dual lan pci card for my server lol but ill defo keep lookin into gettin one but at the mo with xmass being just round the corner its a little tricky lol

i have been looking at them but like you say its not really that cheap lolI use a Cisco SG200-08. It is not that cheap but I think it is a very good piece of equipment. It has a lifetime warranty so it is worth it and among many other functionalities it is IEEE 802.3ad compliant, meaning you can actually aggregate ports. -
