  1. Thank you, the problem has been resolved and could be tested without any problems as a Kernel 5 model DS425+.
  2. You need the tool from the flash chip manufacturer.
  3. We have synoboot USB sticks, but they take up a USB port. It doesn't make sense to use such an expensive/poor Synology marketing device a second time.
  4. @Peter Suh Are there any thoughts on this yet?
  5. @Peter Suh DS925+ is not running with my igb nic. No problems with model SA6400.
  6. I can confirm the need to set the Fake Sata DoM option in the USB line for eMMC Loader, too.
  7. It depends on the synology model selection. Maybe the igb nic, that DS925+ doesn't work!
  8. The boot process still doesn't work. Leaving with "e" editing usb-line see change in cmdline: ...synoboot_satadom=2.... Hanging after "Enter the following address in your web browser : ....:5000"
  9. @Peter Suh don't be sad. What's about that: Disk: mmcblk0, UUIDs: BF4E-ADE7 BF6B-61D1 6234-C863 LOADER_DISK = mmcblk0p Proceed with configuring the selected loader... Configure the loader using the menu.sh command. To check system information and boot entries using the monitor.sh command. To check the settings and installed addons using the ntp.sh command. To use the xTCRP web console, access :7681 with a web browser. tc@tcrpfriend:~$ lsblk -nro UUID | grep 6234-C863 6234-C863 tc@tcrpfriend:~$ I have to switch the bios mode setting for this: ACPI=>PCI
  10. This is exactly the moment when the virus visited the loader.

  12. By the way, going the way of RR won't get you anywhere. This would put the friend in the same league as RR/ARPL, loaders that are useless because individual application environments require differentiated configuration options. TCRP-friend was the only loader that worked for me full-featured for years on many different devices.
  13. For small devices with only a single slow 4GB DDR3 RAM module, it would be nice to keep a 32-bit version, as two memory accesses (x64) don't always occur automatically when only one (x86) is needed. Please check whether DS415play evansport x86 might be possible. It is then probably also the fastest DSM with a comparable kernel version
  14. I'm sure I didn't misunderstand. Previously, there was only one setting for all loader types. Now it differentiates between SATA and USB. But I have eMMC, where is that handled? How can I revert to the old, working software version without getting infected by this virus?
