Hi, I'm building a new NAS with arpl-i18n and everythings goes well, except that I want to add 8 drives but the system only detect 6 of them (yes the two drive's works, I took them from an old Synology setup ) - I have 4 integrated SATA port on my motherboard and I added a PCI-e card of 4 additional SATA port. - My SATA PCI-e card (https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/gp/product/B07T66ZXMT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) - DSM 7.2-64570 Update 1 Is there a limit the DS918+ can detect? Thanks -

Same thing... I even did a reboot after uninstalling AME. -
I have new informations about that. If I change my netif_num to "netif_num": "1" because I have only one mac address: "mac1": "0123456789AA", (it's an example MAC) and this doesn't work. But if I left "netif_num": "5" (the default config) with same MAC it works. What can I do to correctly set "netif_num": "1" with my MAC?

Hello, I migrated my DSM 6.2.3 to 7.1.0 without any problem with TinyCore. My problem is... I changed my MAC Address in user_config.json but when I boot my NAS it's always my real MAC that is used. When I look in GRUB command, the MAC is really the modified one but in DSM it's my real one. Does someboday already has this problem or know how to solve it? Thanks!

So, I figured out how to set my SataPortMap and my DiskIdxMap... now the DSM install failed à 55%. I think some people had this problem too. What is the way to resolve that?

Ok I changed the value, but now I have errors with disks (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ) I can try diffenrent settings, but I don,t really know what to put there haha

Found SATA Controller : pciid 8086d00003b22 Required Extension : ahci Searching for matching extension for ahci ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Maybe there's no extension...

I just tried to unplug the card and it's the same problem. For the extensions, I run the command ./rploader.sh ext broadwell-7.0.1-4228 auto but maybe I need to add it manually?

Hello, I followed the instructions for TinyCore. I need to use the Broadwell version (it's the only one working). The disksation say I have problems with HDD (4, 6) and sata port are disconnected. Someone has this problem before? I have 4 disks plugged in directly trought the motherboard and 1 disk via an extra SATA PCi card. Thanks

Thanks, I feel dumb haha. But find.synology.com can't find my NAS. I tried to force with the ip address I got in TinyCore but it doesn't work. No new ip address in my DHCP server...

This worked for me. Thanks

Thanks for your reply. So if I understand I need to change my VID/PID to match my new USB key?
