Hi all, I don't know what happen, but now I'm trying to access my xpenology and I can't, 2 hours ago I was login, then I had a energy cut and now when I try to login, it says invalid login/password. Is there any thing I can do for fix this? Cheers

Hi all, I've installed xpenology DSM 6.2.4 in my HP microgen8. So far so good. The main objective at the beginning was to store my family photos in raid 1, and then store without raid videos in order to share with my father some old western movies that he loves and that nowadays are somehow rare to find. Now my questions are: 1. Best way to protect my nas from outside attacks; 2. Best way to configure for access it outside my internal network; 3. Best way to configure it for turn it on and off remotly from network; 4. Best way to sync my phone with it for storing automatically the photos I take daily; Apart from all these points, and also the main objective, what else can I do with it, apart from storing photos and movies? Hi all, I'm new to this nas world, and since that sorry for any of my questions/doubts. I'm bought a hp microserver gen8 and I've already running on it DSM. Meantime my idea was to insert 2x1TB hard-drives in raid 1 and then 1x8TB hard-drive but this one without raid. Would be possible to mix this configuration on the same server? I ask this because I've already configured the 2x1TB in raid 1, but now I'm not allowed to create a new volume for the 8TB disk. Thanks in advance

I'll try this option, even that the main PC will only connect by wifi and then by cable from this pc to the proliant server Gen8. I'll leave feedback as soon as I'll test this. Thanks for your ideas.

Hi all, I've a HP proliant gen8 where I would like to install DS, but currently I don't have a fisic router, only wifi connection. When I try to find it in find.synology, it cannot find anything. Does anyone have an idea or solution for this? Cheers
