  1. Hello Peter, I could finally use m-shell after having changed hd0 to hd1 in the grub launch sequence. Best regards,
  2. Hello Peter, As Wjz304 decided to stop any development, I tried to move back to m-shell: I therefore fashed an USB stick and tried to boot on it to install it. I enclose to my message the error messages I got: thank you in advance for your help. Best regards
  3. Hello, I tried with the real MAC address of my network card. No success... Envoyé de mon LE2113 en utilisant Tapatalk
  4. I tried two times to "wake" my NAS using the internal network (WOL OK in the bios) without success... No clue why 😪
  5. Hello Pocopico, I guess that my configuration may be not correct: as I told Peter, I bought a network card connected to may mainboard using the M.2 NVME slot (so I could use my PCIE slot for another purpose). There is however a "third" network plug available (1 Gbit) on my motherboard: I will connect it to check whether or not it works then.
  6. One more information: when I program a shutdown/startup of my NAS, I got an error message like "settings not saved": but the shutdown works then... Thank you in advance
  7. I am not sure I understand what you are proposing: my NAS always stays plugged on the power. Do you mean that after shutdown, "creating" a fake "power disconnection" and reconnection would lead to a startup for the NAS?
  8. Hello, I agree but I could not imagine that a network card would not support WOL ☹️. When I look DSM settings, I have exactly the same as what you shown. Moreover when I program a shutdown, it works: it only the startup that is not working...
  9. Hello Peter, First thank you very much for the M-Sheel tool for the TCRP loader compiling tool: it makes thing much easier to me ! I recently replaced my J4105 motherboard with a Aorus B450 ITX and a Ryzen Pro 4650GE. Doing so, I also switched to a DS923+ configuration: I am currently running DSM 7.2-64570 very nicely. I installed a 2.5 Gbits network RTL 8125b double ports card using the M2 NVME interface of my board(https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005004688409727.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.7.1395YGbtYGbt5k&algo_pvid=559ecf0c-d415-4278-a82c-47d03db1f5de&algo_exp_id=559ecf0c-d415-4278-a82c-47d03db1f5de-3&pdp_npi=3%40dis!EUR!53.55!42.84!!!!!%40214527fd16865706285884997d07b7!12000030105850507!sea!FR!721471133&curPageLogUid=fP9GXQw6x8HG) The only thing that does not work is WOL: I activated this option in the motherboard's Bios (but I guess that it did not take my network card into account). I also noticed that the "powersched" service was not installed during loader compiling. Do you have any piece of advice ? Thank you again for your support. Best regards
  10. Hello Peter, Just to tell you that I failed to get the log you were expecting to help me. I installed again my RTL8125 dual nic card and activated the onboard nic: after having built the RedPill loader using ./my.sh DS920+F command, I had to modify the network parameter (sorry I don't remember it but I am sure you know it [emoji28]), in order to be able to boot. In any case, the boot seems OK, but then I could see that none of the nic cards were operational (no lights). I reflashed again my USB stick with the last RedPill software and I used the XPENOLOGY tutorial to install RTL8125 drivers (I am not sure that it was necessary) and build the loader: this time it worked! And I have now a functional DS920+ NAS with a dual 2.5GBit nic. It seems to me that there is maybe something wrong with the ./my.sh script (it didn't recognize my card). Sorry not being able to give more information. Thank you for your help anyway! Envoyé de mon LE2113 en utilisant Tapatalk
  11. Thank you for your support. I will try to get the log you asked to me. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Best regards Envoyé de mon LE2113 en utilisant Tapatalk
  12. Sorry again but when I put my "old" dual Intel Gbit card I succeed to make the loader working. So it seems that there is something wrong my new realtek 8125B PCI card... Envoyé de mon LE2113 en utilisant Tapatalk
  13. Sorry I deactivated the onboard NIC and the netif_num parameter value is 2. Envoyé de mon LE2113 en utilisant Tapatalk
  14. Hello peter, I am a newbie so I do not know how to get to the information you want...[emoji26] What I noticed is: the starting boot is Ok and I can see the Redpill Friend Menu. When I start Redpill, there is even an IP that is defined, but then nothing happens. When I put my dual Gbit PCI-e card, I can build a functional loader: so I guess that there is some driver issue... 15. Hello Peter, I have setup a DS920+ Nas with J4105-ITX board. I recently installed a PCI-e board whose description is enclosed. I tried to build a new loader using ./my.sh DS920+F When I rebooted my NAS, I could see that the network lights of my PCI-e went off and after that the NAS was no more recognized by my system. Do you have a piece of advice? Thank you in advance Envoyé de mon LE2113 en utilisant Tapatalk
  16. Hi ed_co, The only thing I did is (after Diskspeed docker download from JBartlet777 repository) I selected "High Privileges" in "General" Tab, Same network in "ports" Tab (sorry my config is in French and I do not know the exact English translation). I connect to Diskspeed using : http://IP_NAS:8888. I hope this data will be useful to you. Best regards,
  17. Hello tocinillo2, When you said that you "upgrade" your system from DSM 6.2.3 to 6.2.4 then 7.0.1, did you use your 7.0.1 image ? or what is necessary to use the first 6.2.4 image you posted ? Moreover, I installed on my Asrock J4125-ITX a M2 to sata (JMB58x AHCI SATA controlle) in order to used two 256 MB GB SSDs for the caching fonction of the DS918+: do you think that this controller will be recognized ? One last question: I need to updated the PID/VID of my USB stick in order to be recognized during install. What about the serial number and the mac address you put in you grub.cfg file ? Are they mandatory for the install ? (I know that the serial number is necessary for DS Video to use hardward transcoding, but what about the mac address?). Thank you very much for your answers.
  18. Hello, thank you very much for this file. May I ask you a question ?: I have myself an Asrock J4150-ITX, do you think that using you image, I will be able to migrate from DSM 6.23 to DSM 7.01 ? I also thought that it was also necessary to put a legit serial nember to make the baremetal XPENOLOGY device working: could you give me your point about this ? I admit that I start to long a bit about this wonderful development, so I am close to take the risk to use you image... Thank you in advance,
  19. I eventually found that my concern was due to a connector malfunctioning: when I replaced one SATA cable with a new one, the speed of my other SSD rise to more than 400 MB/s. Sorry for the disturbance and thank you for your help.
  20. Dear IG-88, I just replaced one of the SSD that I had initally connected to my IOCREST IO-ADA58215 E-key M.2 2-ports sata card with a Samsung 860 EVO 250 Gb SSD and to my surprise, I could see that the new SSD's speed was measured to 429 MB/s (I enclosed the Docker diskpeed software result) ! It therefore seems that there are some concerns with my "old" SSDs: The crucial 128GB that I replaced (PN: CTFDDAC128MAG SN10160000EF08), The Samsung 840 Pro 256GB that I kept whose normal reading speed is around 540 MB/s and here limited to 270 MB/s. Could it be some "cache" limitations associated to my old SSDs ? I have no clue to explain this result. Best regards,
  21. Hi IG-88, What I really want is to use the M.2 socket from my Asrock J4105 board, in order to use two SATA SSDs for cache and to use a NVME SSD for the SYNOLOGY applications storage. In that respect, I could use the internal USB 3.1 gen1 socketof my ITX board with an ORICO LSDT M.2 NVME Enclosure (USB C Gen2 10Gbps PCIe SSD Case M2 SATA NGFF 10Gbps SSD Case Tool Free For 2230/2242/2260/2280 SSD) and and USB adapter (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001374161269.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.512e4c4dMzAstL) that I bought to Aliexpress: here my concern is that the final speed of the enclosed SSD (supposed to be 1900 MB/s) is only around 270 MB/s (using the HDPARM test), For the M.2 socket I bought the IOCREST proposed by Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001060760024.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4db9lvQI). There again I was disappointed to see that my SATA SSD appeared to be limited to half of what should be (250 MB/s versus 500 MB/s: I tried with one SSD and with two SSDs without any change). You gave me some possible explanations for this overall low performance. By the way I think that your last proposal will not give a better SSD performance as the only interface for the proposed adapter is NGFF whose performance is similar to SATA. Could it be some specific device driver concerns that may give such results ? Thank you anyway for your commitment ! Best regards
  22. Thank for for the advice. I understand my mistake, but I do not get why using an internal USB 3.1 gen1 connector, I cannot get a speed better than 270 mb/s for a SSD rated 1000 MB/s...
  23. Dear IG-88, Thank you indeed for your support! However, in respect to my motherboard manual, I read that my M2 slot is a key E model (initially designed for a Wifi extension card), so if I am not misunderstanding the M2 standard (that you already described in a previous post where you referred to https://www.delock.com/infothek/M.2/M.2_e.html), I think that I cannot really use any of the possibilities that you propose (as they do not appear to be physically compatible). In my current configuration, my USB NVME SSD is now considered as an internal device, but I am in the process to procure another USB adapter: the SSD's speed is here again limited to 270 Mb/s where I tested it using an USB 3.1 plug (on another computer) to 1000 Mb/s. Hopefully the new adapter that is suppsed to aggregate two USB 3.0, will give better performance (https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/4000144181860.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.86966c37SRPE9R). Best regards,
  24. Hello everyone, I recently bought an Asrock J4105-ITX board and I installed XPENOLOGY using DS918+ configuration on it. In order to set-up two SATA SSD as cache for my HD, I also procured an IOCREST IO-ADA58215 E-key M.2 2-ports sata card (http://iocrest.com/index.php?id=2275): this card using the E-Key M2 wifi socket is recognized by XPENOLOGY, but when I test the speed (using SSH and the HDPARM command) of my two SATA SDDs, I only get "half" of the speed that I used to get with a "standard" SATA port. Is it normal ? This extension card is using a JMB582 chipset that is supposed to deliver full speed for two SATA: I would be grateful to get your point about my configuration. Thank you in advance,
  25. Thanks you for your answers. After a search within the forum, I eventually found a way to modify the synoinfo.conf files in order to force xpenology to recognize my USB NVME SSD as an internal device. I understand that this modification is not fully safe and maybe destroyed after a system update, but as I bought a network pci-e card with link aggregation capability, and a M2 to sata card (to replace the SSD option of the DS 918+), this was the only possibility that was remaining...
