For me, I found another Windows installation (VM) and it mounted as expected. Really wish I knew why mine was messed up.

I'm running into exactly the same problem now as I'm preparing to setup a new server. I've done this a handful of times before and never had this issue. I've confirmed the MD5 is right for the synoboot zip (1.03b - 3615xs - I can read!) Okay...ready? This is the cmd tree /F output for the way you're supposed to do it (mount as Image file) and this is the 'Image File in RAM' option Notice how in the top one, the files are in the wrong folders (on top of missing most files). Here's a bit of a kicker: I mounted it the 'normal way' - I get the listing as shown in the top spoiler I remounted it in RAM (producing the correct structure in the second spoiler). Made some changes. Save the img (I'm aware it's the 15MB partition only) I mount the 15MB img file as an Image file (the normal way) and have the wrong structure again (as in #1)
