  1. I'm trying to run a PowerShell script but am having a lot of difficulty getting the PowerShell docker install to work. It's continually crashing after being started. I've tried the `latest` and `lts-7.2-debian-11` versions but no success. Kind of at a loss. Does anyone have PowerShell in docker (or otherwise ) running?
  2. I discovered there was a difference between the grub MAC and the DSM reported MAC, so I made the change to grub.cfg. I did this via SSH and VIM editor. Its still booting fine and now appears that rclone is behaving as expected. Thank you for your help! Last question: I was not totally clear to me. The i915 driver found in the 918plusdsm623i915mod2.zip, is the correct one now written to the USB via because I updated to DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3? Or was I supposed to include that on the USB in addition to the extra.lzma/extra2.lzma v0.13.3?
  3. While I made no change to the grub, I opened the grub file on my PC that was originally loaded onto the USB, I see that the MAC address there is different from what DSM is reporting now. What's the best way to move forward with fixing that?
  4. Thank you for working with me on this. Good news. I grabbed the USB drive with 1.04b mounted it in Windows 10 (I had to use Ext2Fsd to mount the partition). Then deleted and replaced extra & extra2 from the downloaded extra918plus_v0.13.3.zip Rebooted DSM and voilà ls /dev/dri card0 renderD128 Plex is happy again. But... now I am having weirdness with rclone wherein I can mount it and see the remote directories/files when I SSH into DSM, but I can't seem to access the files via DSM UI. So weird. Is this a separate problem? Did I miss a step with the modification to the loader?
  5. Yes, all sorts of i915 errors with one entry for 8086:191D [Sat Apr 10 16:54:07 2021] pci 0000:00:02.0: [8086:191d] type 00 class 0x030000 I'm sure im not using 0.13.3 extras. Ill read that post and try the sugestions.
  6. I have a Dell T30 CPU is Intel E3-1225V5 16GB ram added I/O Crest 4 Port SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x1 Controller Card Marvell 9215 Non-Raid 6 WD red 4TB drives loader 1.04b ds918+ no extra lzma I broke hardware transcoding (and probably other things I am unaware of yet) by not coming to this site and checking before updating to DSM 6.2.4-25556. The update failed, and I spent a lot of time rolling back the version following this guide. I'm now back up and running with DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 However, hardware transcoding no longer works for plex/moments/video station/photo station I followed the guide Transcoding WITHOUT a valid serial number (which I understand does not affect Plex hardware transcoding ability) the output of cat /usr/syno/etc/codec/activation.conf {"success":true,"activated_codec":["hevc_dec","ac3_dec","h264_dec","h264_enc","aac_dec","aac_enc","mpeg4part2_dec","vc1_dec","vc1_enc"],"token":"123456789987654abc"} ls /dev/dri ls: cannot access /dev/dri: No such file or directory sudo find / -name synocodectool /volume1/@appstore/VideoStation/bin/synocodectool /usr/syno/bin/synocodectool How can I get /dev/dri running?
  7. Thanks for the reply, they are all the same. The memory I'm attempting to use came as a pack of 4. I've removed the original UDIMM.
  8. I added memory to my baremetal setup and was unable to boot afterwards. The boot process hangs after the 1.04 boot selection screen. "Happy hacking" I went from 1x8gb UDIMM to 4x 8gb UDIMM. When I reduced the number to 2x8GB UDIMMs I could boot. I believe the memory is good. I can see it in the BIOS. I also tried moving sticks around and mixing and matching to no effect. The system is a Dell Poweredge T30 with 6x 4TB WD HDD The memory is DDR4-2666MHz PC4-21300 ECC UDIMM 2Rx8 1.2V Unbuffered I'm using the 1.04b loader with the DSM_DS918+_23739 pat. I couldn't really find others having this problem. Thoughs? edit: clarify problem
  9. Thanks for the reply, After further investigation using iperf I am getting a 1 Gbps connection to the server. I'm not sure why DSM is reporting something different. I'm using boot loader 1.04b, DSM 6.2.2, and no extra driver packages that i recall.
  10. I have DSM running on on a Dell T30 and noticed lan 1 is showing 10Mbps, Full duplex, 1500 mtu. The onboard card is an Intel I219-LM. A forum search turns up a thread that appears this card is not going to be supported for reasons that are beyond my technical understanding. If I can't get this working at 1000Mps, can I just shutdown the server, pop in a new card, and restart with 2 devices now running? Do I need to disable the onboard nic in the BIOS first, or at all ? Can I disable the onboard nic in the DSM interface? The server is headless and I'd prefer not to have to hook up a monitor and keyboard to access the BIOS While I'm here is there a suggested replacement card. The server is used in a home network
