@viking74 i don´t understand 100% what you want to say. You could install 6.2.3 without the extra files from IG88 and HW Transcoding did worked? Only Plex did not worked? I updated my existing version 6.2.2 Update 4 to 6.2.3 and HW Transcoding just worked when i have used IG88 2 Extra Files from 0.11. Before the activation worked i had to do the HW Transcoding Patch without valid serial. No i should work: success":true,"activated_codec":["hevc_dec","ac3_dec","h264_dec","h264_enc","a ac_dec","aac_enc","mpeg4part2_dec","vc1_dec","vc1_enc"],"token":"XXXXXXX"} Do i need to do anything else? I am asking because i am using Plex

0.11 with ASROCK J4105 and 6.2.3 works with HW Transcoding needed to do the serial number patch first. I could also not access to my old usb stick on win7 and win10 with win32imager, so i needed to create a new one. Old usb stick is no usable....not that important by may somebody know how to solve it

- Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.2.2-UPDATE 4 - Loader version and model: JUN'S LOADER v1.04b - DS918+ - Using custom extra.lzma: YES and extra2 from 0.11 IG-88 - Installation type: BAREMETAL - ASRock J4105 - Additional comments: Manual downloaded Synology DSM 6.2.3, updated over DSM and created a new USB Stick with customer extra files from 0.11 Version IG-88. I could not edit the old USB with WIN32DISCIMAGER....then DSM told me that my hardware is changed, have to click ok and everything worked. /dev/dvi Hardware transcoding was only there after the 0.11 extra files from IG-88 but SN wasn´t valid so i had to do the patch and before i needed to do the root. All people who are searching for root, here is what to do: #PermitRootLogin prohibit-password must be changed to: PermitRootLogin Yes paste also this textline under the permitrootloginyes UsePrivilegeSeparation sandbox

@IG-88 in this thread 6.2.1 is confirmed but not 6.2.2 but seemstoyanucci got it to work, i am waiting for his infos. for me dlna and plex is working for my needs in 1080p without hw transcoding but still a nice to have hw tramscoding

hi, i succesfully installed 6.2.2 update 4 on a ASROCK J4105 and did now the check: cd /dev/dri -->No such file or directory --> the same for the activation.conf.... I did the real3x mod with replacing the extra.lzma but not deleting the extra2.lzma and no driver clean up. May thats the problem?

PS: i booted with Live Linux USB the hardware under LAN to find out MAC Adress, may helpfull : )
