Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.2.1 23824 update 2 - Loader version and model: JUN'S LOADER v1.03b - DS3615xs - Using custom extra.lzma: NO - Installation type: VM - VMware ESXI 6.7, E1000E NIC - Additional comments: Updated right from the GUI without issue. System had to be rebooted 3 times manually following the update and the 10 minute countdown within the web interface. After first reboot, still couldn't ping device and not found by find.synology. Second reboot, could ping the device for about 2-3 minutes but couldn't login then pings dropped. Third reboot, device came up perfectly with all settings intact and all tested features working (iSCSI, Surveillance Station, and the basics). Woot.
