it's been a while and I forgot what steps are needed to move over to 6.2.3 on an HP Microserver Gen 8 with jun 1.0.3b. Is the process to upgrade to the latest DSM then copy the needed files to the USB drive, or will the upgrade write the correct files and nothing is required?

- Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 6 - Loader version and model: Jun's Loader v1.04B DS918+ - Using custom extra.lzma: No - Installation type: BAREMETAL - UniFi UAS-XG - Additional comments: No problems updating reboot after patching.

- Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 6 - Loader version and model: Jun's Loader v1.03B 3617XS - Using custom extra.lzma: Yes - Installation type: BAREMETAL - HP Microserver Gen8 N54L - Additional comments: I'm not totally sure what happened but the original USB stick did not work after the update I had a copy with the extra .lzma files loaded on it. After a reboot and a repair on the OS everything started working.

That was totally my error in posting in 6.1 and not 6.2. I've seen @SteveJ post on Reddit, it was his post that pushed me to convert this box over to Xpenology. As for starting for starting the binary is that after the USB boot? Also do we move this over to @SteveJ's post being this is more of a request topic? If a mod could move my comment that would be a great help.

That sounds like that may be the case.... As of now I am in search of cards that would load with the default rd file, but the good news is you got my HP Gen 8 up and running and I thank you so very much for the hard work.

Update Hardware: HP Microserver Gen8 micro Bootloader: 1.02b --> 1.03b DSM Version:6.1.7 --> 6.2.2 24922 Update 4 Install Method: Fresh install Additional NICs: Mellanox MCX312A-XCBT ConnectX-3 EN 10GbE Dual Port SFP+ PCIe3.0 Card CX312A Results: Success Notes: Upgraded the USB's extra.lzma on 1.02b this failed. I forgot I was on 1.02b. recreated the USB drive with the same serial and NICs with 1.03b, updated the extra.lzma, zimage, and rd file. Placed the USB drive back into the machine and the upgrade process completed on it's own without having to do the migrate process.

My next test is the upgrade method from 6.1 to 6.2.2.
