Could use some help to configre Sil3114 controller card on DSM 6.1? Is this model even compatible? Which China (cheap) controller is recommended for 4 port sata pci/pcie on DSM 6.1?

Hi Good day! Thanks for creating this project! Im new here, using HP Compaq dx2710 MT (2GB RAM) with a PCI Sata card, 4 port sata (Sil3114). Total 6 hard disks will be used, 4 on board sata, and the rest on sata PCI card. Downloaded DS3615xs_15047.pat and Jun's Mod v1.02-alpha, works fine, manage to detect on-board sata disks, but nothing on pci sata card, Sil3114. I can see the raid card detects all the disk fine, and did not configure any raid on RAID card bios. Anyone could point me the way to ensure the DSM 6.1 detects the hardisks that connected via PCI Sata card, Sil3114?

Hi Good day! I'm from Malaysia, newbie for NAS/Synology/Xpenology. I have an old pc that would like to convert to NAS. After reading around, notice only Synology allows different type of Hard Disk being raid using, SHR, because i have few different sizes of hardisk that wish to use for this little home project of mine, mainly nextCloud, media and file sharing.
