  1. I also had this problem, make sure that the number of cores your Xpenology host is has available, matches (or is greater than) the number of cores the device you are emulating would have. So if you emulating a DS3615, make sure your setup has the number or CPU cores that a real DS3615 would have (or more). If you are emulating a DSX3617, make sure your CPU has the amount of cores that are equal to or greater than a real . DSX3617.
  2. Thanks for the excellent explanation, this should be in the FAQ \ N00b section! Based on what you said, I think I will use the 1.04 Loader DS918+ as it has the latest Kernel and actually works fine on my VM based on my initial testing. I was a bit concerned that the DS3615 was too "old" and wanted to go with the newer DS3617, but now I see it doen'st really matter. I think that Jun should standardize on running XPEnology in a VM, it would make easier for everyone. Thanks again for your feedback.
  3. @super169 what version of 6.2 are you running? I cannot get DSM_DS3617xs_24922 to work at all, once I update or new install that version, I loose network connectivity. However DSM_DS3617xs_23739 installs and works perfectly fine. My VM is configured exactly like @Super169 above @flyride can you share your grub.cfg?
  4. I own a DS1813+ but it has become slow, so I decided to build a new XPEnology Nas to replace it but I am running into a problem with Moments Face and Subject recognition. Hardware is: Motherboard: Supermicro X10SRM-F CPU: Xeon(R) CPU E5-2667 v4 @ 3.20GHz Memory: 64GB RAM Hypervisor: VMware ESXi 6.7.0 Update 2 (Build 13006603) I've tried all 3 current loaders: DSM_DS3617xs_23739 DSM_DS3615xs_23739 DSM_DS918+_23739 I am able to install all 3 loaders without issue but Moments facial and subject recognition does not work on any Moments log file contents: If it does, can you let me know what combination you are using: Loader version, DSM version, ESXi version, VM config Thanks.
