kann ich testen. ich sehe grade das es ein neuen loader gibt: TinnyCore RedPill (TCRP) beta v.0.9 hat das einen einfluß auf den VM Manager ? (denke nicht)

ja, die selbe VM lief unter 6.2 um *welten besser, gar kein vergleich ! es ist so als ob alles in zeitlupe ablaufen würde. irgendetwas beisst sich, nur was !? ich hatte die neusten virtio drv's ausprobiert, dev, stable, nightly ... keine änderung. sage ja, selbst das installieren ist quasi nicht machbar 🤨 , da alles in zeitlupe bei: i5 10500 4.50 GHz - 64gb ddr4 2666mhz ram - ssd . . . , das kann nicht sein.

@ig-88 danke dir für den response! nun windows ist abgespeckt und lief ja vorher auch super perfomant, es ist die selbe konfig. die vm's laufen auf SSD's und die guest tools sind installiert, auch mit verschiedenen vers. probiert. das mit proxmox und co. ist mir zu unbekannt, so war es eigntl. gut nur seit DSM v7 will es nicht mehr so richtig mit Win10/11 bin da wirklich mit dem Latein am ende...

hi ich nutze mein xpenology überwiegend als host für meine VM's, mein system wie folgt: i5 10500 - 64gb ram - msi b460m - 4platten -> 2x raid1 das ganze seit neustem mit dem Automated RedPill Loader beta3. soweit läuft auch alles ohne Auffälligkeiten, jedoch gibt es ein Performance Problem: die win7 und win8.1 VM's laufen sehr performant auf dem system, aber die Windows 10/11 Installationen sind extrem langsam, nicht wirlich nutzbar. das beginnt schon bei der installation die super träge ist. kein vergleich zu den win7/8.1 installationen. was mich wundert das es mit jun's loader hierbei keine probleme gab... woran könnte das liegen ?

bei Win10 mit 3617xs mit muss im VM manager aktiveren, ansonsten läuft w10/w11 nicht ,weder beim install noch später. das liegt an dem kernel von 361*xs. bei importierten VM's muss man im nachhinein, diese option aktivieren. mit dem kernel von 918+ läuft alles.

schon alles probiert, keine chance. man kann ohne externe graka das CSM nicht aktivieren also eine einfache pci graka besorgt = NV G210, mit karte gebootet dann im bios CSM eingeschaltet. Läuft ! runtergefahren, karte entfernt monitor an internen vga/dvi an schluss angeschlossen. was soll ich sagen, läuft auch jetzt 🤔

hmm, habe selber ein asrock H410M- HDV/M2 mainboard, eben mit der i5 10400. leider kann ich das nicht auf CSM umstellen, da er dann eine PCIe Graka erwartet und die graka einheit der cpu ignoriert !? deshalb frage ich mich, wie @smileyworld das hinbekommen hat ... ansonsten ist die größe des mb egal.

Will mir ein neues System aufbauen. CPU liegt vor: Intel I5 10400 , 6Cores/12Threads Am liebsten eines auf basis DS3617xs wegen der Anzahl der Cores der CPU. Das soll jedoch nur mit aktivem CSM im Bios der MB gehen. Welches Mainboard bietet mir diese Option, oder hat jemand eine solche (oder ähnliche CPU ) schon am laufen mit DS3617s ? 🤔

HI, auf dem vol1, 2x ssd laufen meine VM's. ansonsten mysqldb , webserver usw. darauf ist ein freigegebenes verzeichniss o.ä. . das volume ist abgestürzt , was tun ?

es liegt am ältern syno kernel des 3617 ... mit dem kernel der 918 läuft es einwandfrei. setzte einfach im VM Manager den CPU Kompat. modus und es wird gehen.

hi all, i us the v1.04b loader for the 918+. running a acer board with 8gb ddr3 ram, Intel Core i5-4440 haswell with onboard Realtek PCIe GBE Network Family Controller. it's running grat so far, but i want to update to 6.2.2-24922. if i do this, it will brick, an my nas will not availible. i try'd it. HOW to do this ?

well... i try'd a lot again, nothing help'd me 😟 so i try'd a new usb stick, usv v2, micro. -> first try: it work'd !?! but why, the three used usb sticks works all great with 918 and 3617xs 1.02b loader ... but not with 3617xs 1.03b loader THIS can't be, or !?! anyway the beast is now online, great pice of SRV. powerfull and very low energy consumption: IDLE <20w (2x2drive's, all 2.5", 2x ssd, 2x hdd) with 2 VM running an working about 28w : thank you both for your info's and help : IG-88 / flyride

i disabeld the onboard nic and tryd ds3615xs aswell, no go. current i use 918 which works great, but only with the real 6 cores, ht disabled. any other suggestions ? or is it possible to modify the 918 kernel for use more then 8 cores ?

hi all, i try this combination: DS3517xs v1.03b with i7 8700 on Gigabyte H310M NIC is the onboard one and i have a Intel Gigabit CT Destop NIC DS3517xs because of the number of maximum cores, the i7 8700 has 6Cores / 12Threads and v1.03b for update to DSM 6.2xxxx an higher if possible. i get to work with loader v1.02 and v1.04 , but i don't get it to work with v1.03b, why ? After setup the USB bootstick with v1.03b, i can't find the Diskstation...

Question: Will this work with AMD Ryzen CPU's aswell ?

das heißt, dass wenn man einen i7 8700 nutzrn wollte, 3617 mit 1.03 nehnen müsste...

hi, habe mir ein anderes gehäuse gekauft, daher sind die teile nun übrig. die einzelnen teile laufen perfekt mit xpenology zusammen (als 918+). CPU Intel i5 7400 Mainboard Gigabyte GA110M DS2 (4xsata) Gehäuse KOLINK Satellite Mini-ITX / Micro-ATX Ich könne das Verschicken, aber abholung wäre mir eignl. lieber (NRW, Kreis Wesel) Bei Intresse, macht mir per PM bitte angebote, VHB: 180€ zusammen.
