  1. Sure, I can try. Would Knoppix 9.1 be ok? And again via Putty SSH? Or within knoppix? Could you guide me a little bit?
  2. Hi, does someone know whether this original extension card would work obb with the new gen loaders? Using this card would save me from investing in a new board/cpu/ram.
  3. already did that without any difference Did a bunch of other things today... #1 switched the board to a P8H67M, installed the Asus C100C along with my x540-t2 and tried an old stick with Loader v23.01.18 -> C100C wasn't visible #2 updated the loader to v24.01.24 and bootet again -> ended up with a screen I couldn't handle like something with "Grub" in cmd #3 went back to a new er loader img v23.01.23 and bootet again -> C100C wasn't visible #4 went even more back to my first trcp try a week ago (tcrp friend 0.0.4) and boom -> C100C was detected 😍 run dmesg and dmesg |grep atlantic (see below) Is there anything which may indicates to understand why it works with the tcrp friend 0.0.4 but not with the last few arc loaders?
  4. Isn't it strange that there is no pcie device shown even though the Asus card is plugged in. And it's plugged in exactly in the slot the E10G18 worked very well before. Edit: Could the reason that no pcie device is liste has to with the fact that I disbaled the two not neede Sata controllers JMicron and Marvell?
  5. Have a usb rtl8125b card available (ment to be used for my macbook) and tried it on on my current configuration but removed the Asus C100C Result is that also this card doesn't show up...isn't that rtl8125b chip supported in your loader @AuxXxilium here is the dmesg report:
  6. Removed the original synology e10g18-t1 so only the Asus C100C remains in the system. This is what I got based on "dmesg |grep atlantic" and this is the full "dmesg" report and here is the systeminformation of the ARC Loader v23.01.21
  7. Updatet my ARC LOADER to the newest available version v23.01.21 Still the same issue -> Asus C100C isn't available/visibale Slowly I start to think is has to do with my hardware. This behavior doesn't make sense at all. Swapped the Asus C100C with the PCIe slot the E10G18 works with - no change, Ausus C100C doesn't work Put the Asus C100C in my Desptop and use it with windows - works
  8. thanks a lot! Somewhat suspicious is that I also never got it to run with the differnet extra.lzma (0.11_test; 0.12.1_test; 4.9_test) and Juns loader 1.02b or 1.03b. Edit: By the way, during all of my recent tests I always had the original E10G18 running on the same board at the same time when I created dmesg via Putty
  9. tried it again, this time with the latest ARC Loader v23.01.18 unfortunately my Asus C100C still isn't recognized...when I put the card in my desktop PC it's working fine
  10. Did it again and this time I used the ARC Automated Loader v23.01.16 Unfortunately the Asus AQC107 is still not visible/working This ist the entire "dmesg" result
  11. Thanks a lot... Changed the loader to Arc Loader v23.01.16 (non automatic) and this is what comes out:
  12. Many thanks @IG-88 for your response. I'll try the loader of AuxXxilium and hope the card will be recognized. About the creating a log file for the driver message, could you give me kind of a shortcut/example on how to do that?
  13. I was able to get my hand on a original Synology E10G18-T1 and that one works, as expected, very well. Nobody who is able to help me getting a AsusC100C to work?
  14. Hi, thanks for creating this thread. How do I modify the number and MAC address by using tiny core redpill?
  15. I have a similar problem. I am runnig DSM 7.1.1 via TinyCore Redpill but only have the two 1GbE ports. The Asus C100C isn't recognized, even the LEDs aren't flashing. Is there a description available how I can add the driver to my loader?
  16. Found the issue (have to choose legacy instead of uefi) and now it's running, except the AsusC100C as well as the Realtek 8125b. The loader stick was built based on your image 0.9.3.0-1 How can I make the additional network devices run?
  17. So, tried my best and at least have reached the next milestone, I would think. Did the whole procedure with your tool 👌😉 and was successful...pretty nice tool by the way!!! During my first try I got a bit confused by the "friend" option when creating the loader - still don't understand what's that for? However, managed it by trying the second option, booted up again and there was my long awaited baremetal usb boot option...NICE After further boot it ended up with "starting kernel with usb boot" Then I tried to find the NAS by using Sinology Assistant, but had no luck. By the way, have chosen the option for using real mac adress when loader was created. I had that behavior already in the past when I was playing with different USB-sticks and Juns loaders. NAs wasn't visible with the Assistant but when connection via brokers and the IP I was always able to login. Is there anything I am doing wrong? It might so, but I can't find the issue... One more Question Since the loader seems to be for v7.1.1 42962 I tried to download the specific pat-file for DS3622xs+ but only found the one which contains "(with Update 1)" in the file name. Can I use that anyway? Given that I can find the NAS in my network.
  18. Perfect, I will try it again tonight and your support make me feel confident. Many thanks for your great and very fast help!
  19. That's great news. Do you know whether the image 0.9.3.0-1 includes drivers for AQC107 and RTL8125B ? If not, how can I add those via command method? If my hardware (Intel 2nd generation) gets supported by loader DS3622xs+ I'll go for it. Thanks for reminding about the importance of a backup. Of course, I have one I'll come back to this thread and will reply my experience.
  20. Thanks a lot for your support @Peter Suh Is there any way to get the old method work? By the way, do you recommend to update my existing system from Jun 1.03b / DS3615xs / 6.2.3 Update 3 to the redpill loader DS3622xs+ 7.1 ?
  21. Took me quite a while to try what you suggested 🙄... @IG-88 downloaded "tinycore-redpill-uefi.v0.9.4.0.img" and created my bootstick with rufus than I booted this stick with my "nas" and logged in from my desktop in the following I did everything step by step like (THANKS to @Peter Suh: ./rploader.sh update now ./rploader.sh fullupgrade now ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+ ./rploader.sh identifyusb now ./rploader.sh satamap now ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.0.1-42218 ./rploader.sh clean now ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 ./rploader.sh clean now; rm -rf /mnt/sdb3/auxfiles; rm -rf /home/tc/custom-module; ./rploader.sh backup now; but in the end once i've botte up again no loader showed up, still only tiny core, no baremetal etc. tried do do the procedure again and got this: C:\Users\XY>ssh tc@192.168xxxxxxx @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY! Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)! It is also possible that a host key has just been changed. The fingerprint for the ECDSA key sent by the remote host is SHA256:YEREMecQJS+2ktXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Please contact your system administrator. Add correct host key in C:\\Users\\XY/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message. Offending ECDSA key in C:\\Users\\XY/.ssh/known_hosts:1 ECDSA host key for 192.168.xxxxxxx has changed and you have requested strict checking. Host key verification failed. at the moment I unfortunately have to quit at this point since I don't know any solution how to handle this issue. Does anybody know how to fix tit?
  22. Hi eveyrvody, I got my hand on another Asus P8H67 M LE and was trying to install loader 1,03b but can't find it in the network. Figured out that unfortunately the board is UEFI only. Is there e workaround to get legacy run with this board anyway? Went with 1,02b and got it run. Since I do have an Asus c100c I went for extra.lzma 4.9_test and put it on the 30MB partion on my bootstick but it turns out that I'm not able to get the card run (lights not flashing). The onboard NIC runs fine. Does somebody know what to do to be able to use the c100c?
  23. @asheenlevrai @rusyn don't worry...for 918+ you can use the serials generated 916+
  24. Don't agree...think its more like putting a puzzle together and because of that I asked in a different way to hopefully get a clear reply. In my case I'd like to go the easiest way which is to keep my baremtal 3615xs 1.03b -> add two solo pcie to m.2 adapters -> create a raid 1 r/w caching disk. Couldn't find this information clearly within the entire forum and just want to be sure about that before shopping.
