yeah try SMB1 - it should work
tried SMB1 with DS3615xs on 6.1.7 and 6.2, DS3617xs on 6.1.7 and 6.2, same outcome.

Try turning off SMB3 and turning on SMB1. From what I understand SMB3 is still "in the works" and it not a complete standard.
When I did that it stabilized by speeds.
Also WD Greens are not the most "premium" drives so they could be the culprit too.
I'll try but surely the hdd is not the problem since with freenas and omv I get 110mbps without drops.

With both openmediavault and freenas I get 110MB/s stable while writing on a smb share, with the same file I go from 20 to 80MB/s on XPEnology (tried DS916+ on 6.1.7, DS3615xs on 6.2, DS3617xs on 6.2).
Hardware is J3455-ITX with 8GB of RAM and a single 2TB WD Caviar Green.
I already tried to disable smb encryption and I also switched to SMB3 but the results are the same.

I've the same issues with J3455 on 6.2.x, system is slow and shutdown wont work properly, 6.1.x works perfectly.

Hi all, I just built a NAS with the J3455-ITX using the 1.04b loader and the DS918+ image but I have some issues:
- the system wont shutdown (the gui is not reachable but the system is still on)
- the processor only works @1.5GHz (intead of bursting to 2.3GHz when required)
EDIT: tried with DS916+ image with 1.02b loader and now I'm able to shutdown (and the system is way faster w.r.t. DS918+)

I need a cheap build (better if around 100€) for torrenting, SMB and Docker.
What do I already have:
- 6GB PC3-10600S (4GB + 2GB) RAM https://i.imgur.com/HJqOPDW.jpg
- 2TB 3.5" HDD (and it would be enough for the moment)
What do I need: everything else (case, psu, mobo, cpu)
Performance-wise I would like to get something like the Synology DS218play/+.
I need it to also have low power consumption (I'm in europe so keep it in mind while hunting for prices ❤️ ).

Nope...I ended up using OpenMediaVault (no issues in this case)
