SOLVED !!! Turns out NOT to download the pat file from the link specified, but rather from here. https://archive.synology.com/download/DSM/release/6.2/23739/ Now is up and running. Thank you all.

Grrr... still not working. Let me confirm. These are the only two files I need? These are uploaded to ESXi synoboot.img - edited with MAC & SN (from synoboot_3615.zip) synoboot.vmdk - only 1KB ?? Do I need the synoboot.img ? if so do what with it? (from DS3615xs 6.0.2 Jun's Mod V1.01)

I'm getting so confused with all the different downloads. Could somebody post links to files needed please. Boot. Found it and tried to install the .pat. No go for either 3615 or 3617. Help 😋

Anybody get this error? I did everything as per above, tried using DSM_DS3615xs_23648 DSM_DS3615xs_23731 Both give the same error. ESXi 6.7 if that is of importance
