Hello everyone! As for what I read in the instructions and rules I will be introducing myself. I'm looking to build my first NAS device, I came across with a video last night on where they show how to install the xpenology which it kind of cut my attention. I have PMS on a W10 PC gaming machine, I barely use it for gaming and I decided to use the hardware to something that my wife and I like to do, what TV shows and movies. I heard a lot of good things about DSM. I never had a chance to had an original box (Synology NAS) because I bought another brand. no complaints about it but as the media grows the more transcoding is need it. So I'm glad I found out about the Open source. I hope I can learn a lot of new things from this forum and be welcome by everyone.
