I am running 5.0.2.4 and trying to update DSM to the latest 4493 release. I am getting a folder access error. Has anyone else had the same problem? And how did you solve it?

Do you need to re-install DSM when you upgrade from Nanoboot 5.0.2.2 to 5.0.2.3?

I had no issues. I can reboot. SA is reporting that the system is fully up and running. All folders accessible. And system performance is as far as I have tested still the same. I also went from Gnoboot 10.5 to Nanoboot 5.0.2.2. This is running on a N40L Microserver

I have 2 questions. Is there already an option that a serial number can be automatically generated from Mac-addresses? Now I have to manually edit menu.lst for this. This would be something I need to do with every update of GnoBoot. The serial is also needed to add the XPEnology install to the Central Management System package of Synology. Also. I am trying to automatically load usbserial.ko and ftdi_sio.ko as they are not inserted automatically and I now have to manually run an insmod command for this. Can I change this so it gets automatically loaded and how is this done? Otherwise I really like GnoBoot. It runs very stable on my HP N40L. Beats buying another Synology.
