My working configuration is also 1.03b Loader for DS3617xs and DSM 6.2-23739. Run fast and smooth since a long time. But when i upgrade to 6.2.1-23824 the lights went out. No connection anymore, but the NAS itself seems to keep running (power button functions turns the NAS out like bevore update). When i make a fresh install with 1.04b for DS918+ and DSM 6.2.1-23824 the installation stop with error 13. So guys, can you check your working DSM version? Thanks in advance

reizhi, how did you got 1.04b working? When i use this loader and install DSM 6.2.1 network connectivity stops and no ip is aquired from dhcp server.

Hey tomo55, the issue is a failed shutdown. Well, the system stopps, but it is not ready to start via WOL. You have too google for this: S99ZZZ_Shutdown.sh (http://xpenology.me/how-to-activate-wol/) There you will find help.

When you download a pat form this page (https://www.synology.com/en-global/support/download/DS3617xs#utilities) it will always be the mose recent Version. This Version, 6.2.1-23824-2, didn't work with bootloader 1.03b on the Gen10. The Bootloader 1.04b did not work proper on the Gen10, network is okay, but access to the hdd controller fails. I tried it more than once and every test system was bricked. To get an running DSM you have to use an older DSM pat, i recommend to go there: https://archive.synology.com/download/DSM/release/6.2/23739/, pick the xs3617xs an make an manual insallation. Should work like a charm!

I use the 1.03b loader for DS3617xs. Both MAC's are in the grub file, i haven't made other changes beside the SN. I use DSM Image is 6.2-23739. An first update to 1.04b and 6.2.1-23824 didn't work, the installation of the new image ended with Error 13 in Synology Assistant.

Hej Folks, oops, my mistake, the working configuration is "UEFI with CSM module" = DISABLED and "Boot Mode" = Legacy only My BIOS Version is ZA10A360, the Core Version 5.12, but Compliancy is UEFI 2.5: PI 1.4 I hope it help you.

In Windows You can use diskpart an clean up the usb drive and erase any efi partition. Please run "cmd" as administrator, type diskpart. Use "list disk" to identify the drive, then select the disk with "sel disk #" (# for number of disk, !! be very carefull not to choose wrong drive !!), now type "clean" (all data will be purged). You can use "create partition primary" to create a blank partition. Now Win32DiskImager should make a bootable usb drive without efi. good luck!

I had the same issue with an Broadcom NIC. I changed the boot type from UEFI to Legacy and activated CSM. After this, the NAS was visible. My HP Gen10 Microserver runs Loader 1.03b and DS3617xs.

Folks! On HP Microserver Gen10 UEFI doesn't work. You must use CSM for Loader 1.03b on DS3617xs.

Hej Jun, as promised i tried a install on a blank drive on my HP MicroServer Gen10. The System booted to grub selection screen, after selecting 3615 it shows the intro screen, but without the part after "...http://find.synology.com to continue" (the working 1.02b did not show the following text either). The Gen10 uses a Broadcom 5720 NIC, which is listed on 1.03a2 driver list, so it should be compatible.
