  1. W00t! You are my HERO! I dropped in the file, rebooted, and EVERYTHING WORKS THE WAY I WANTED!!! 😁😁😁
  2. ASROCK Z370 GAMING K6 INTEL INTEL CORE I3-8100 CRUCIAL 8GB 2X4 D4 2400 SPLT CL16 10 randoms HDDs = SHR = 20TB XPEnology runs pretty great! Ended up with a DS-3615xs running 6.1.6-15266 Turned on SHR because the drives are all different sized repurposed HDDs. I installed an ASUS XG-c100c. The module shows up in lspci -vvv: admin@salt:**/**$ lspci -d 1d6a:d107 -vvv 0000:06:00.0 Class 0200: Device 1d6a:d107 (rev 02) Subsystem: Device 1043:8741 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+ Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 0, Cache Line Size: 64 bytes Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 20 Region 0: Memory at fd840000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 2: Memory at fd850000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 4: Memory at fd400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Expansion ROM at fd800000 [disabled] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: atlantic but when I look in DSM > Networking > Network Interface > LAN 2 "Disconnected" and the Network Status is "--" I have link lights and a "CAT7" cable between the computers. The other end of the link is a CentOS 7.4 server. If I ifconfig down the interface, the link lights go out. When I up the interface the lights come on. I could do this all day. What am I doing wrong? I edited the grub.conf with my mac addresses and changed the nic count to 3. I've played with changing round the order of the MAC addresses BUT I CAN'T BRING THE 10g INTERFACE UP! Help?
  3. I'm running an ASUS mobo with an AMD PHENOM II 4 core, 16GB RAM, 8 HDDs. XPEnology runs pretty great! Ended up with a DS-3615xs running 6.1.6-15266 Turned on SHR because the drives are all different sized repurposed HDDs. All that is awesome, however, I still have a couple of issues. 1. dmesg shows this pretty early in the bootup. DSM shows 4GB RAM, 12GB is "reserved" WARNING: BIOS bug: CPU MTRRs don't cover all of memory, losing 12799MB of RAM. 2. My 2nd nic is a xg-c100c. The module shows up in lspci -vvv: 0000:06:00.0 Class 0200: Device 1d6a:d107 (rev 02) Subsystem: Device 1043:8741 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+ Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 0, Cache Line Size: 64 bytes Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 20 Region 0: Memory at fd840000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 2: Memory at fd850000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 4: Memory at fd400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Expansion ROM at fd800000 [disabled] Capabilities: [40] Express (v2) Endpoint, MSI 00 DevCap: MaxPayload 512 bytes, PhantFunc 0, Latency L0s <64ns, L1 <1us ExtTag+ AttnBtn- AttnInd- PwrInd- RBE+ FLReset+ DevCtl: Report errors: Correctable- Non-Fatal- Fatal- Unsupported- RlxdOrd- ExtTag- PhantFunc- AuxPwr+ NoSnoop+ FLReset- MaxPayload 128 bytes, MaxReadReq 512 bytes DevSta: CorrErr- UncorrErr- FatalErr- UnsuppReq- AuxPwr+ TransPend- LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 8GT/s, Width x4, ASPM L0s L1, Exit Latency L0s unlimited, L1 unlimited ClockPM- Surprise- LLActRep- BwNot- LnkCtl: ASPM Disabled; RCB 64 bytes Disabled- CommClk+ ExtSynch- ClockPM- AutWidDis- BWInt- AutBWInt- LnkSta: Speed 5GT/s, Width x4, TrErr- Train- SlotClk+ DLActive- BWMgmt- ABWMgmt- DevCap2: Completion Timeout: Not Supported, TimeoutDis+, LTR-, OBFF Not Supported DevCtl2: Completion Timeout: 50us to 50ms, TimeoutDis-, LTR-, OBFF Disabled LnkCtl2: Target Link Speed: 5GT/s, EnterCompliance- SpeedDis- Transmit Margin: Normal Operating Range, EnterModifiedCompliance- ComplianceSOS- Compliance De-emphasis: -6dB LnkSta2: Current De-emphasis Level: -3.5dB, EqualizationComplete-, EqualizationPhase1- EqualizationPhase2-, EqualizationPhase3-, LinkEqualizationRequest- Capabilities: [80] Power Management version 3 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=375mA PME(D0+,D1+,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold+) Status: D0 NoSoftRst+ PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Capabilities: [90] MSI-X: Enable+ Count=32 Masked- Vector table: BAR=2 offset=00000000 PBA: BAR=2 offset=00000200 Capabilities: [a0] MSI: Enable- Count=1/32 Maskable- 64bit+ Address: 0000000000000000 Data: 0000 Capabilities: [c0] Vital Product Data Product Name: AQtion Read-only fields: [PN] Part number: AquantiaPartNumber [EC] Engineering changes: AquantiaEngineeringChangeLevel [FG] Unknown: 41 71 75 61 6e 74 69 61 46 61 62 72 69 63 47 65 6f 67 72 61 70 68 79 [LC] Unknown: 41 71 75 61 6e 74 69 61 4c 6f 63 61 74 69 6f 6e [MN] Manufacture ID: 41 71 75 61 6e 74 69 61 4d 61 6e 75 66 61 63 74 75 72 69 6e 67 49 64 [PG] Unknown: 41 71 75 61 6e 74 69 61 50 63 69 47 65 6f 67 72 61 70 68 79 [SN] Serial number: AquantiaSerialNumber [V0] Vendor specific: AquantiaVendorSpecificReadOnlyItem0 [V1] Vendor specific: AquantiaVendorSpecificReadOnlyItem1 [RV] Reserved: checksum good, 0 byte(s) reserved Read/write fields: [YA] Asset tag: AquantiaAssetTagIdentifier [V0] Vendor specific: AquantiaVendorSpecificWritableItem0 [V1] Vendor specific: AquantiaVendorSpecificWritableItem1 [Y0] System specific: AquantiaSystemSpecificWritableItem0 [Y1] System specific: AquantiaSystemSpecificWritableItem1 [RW] Read-write area: 9 byte(s) free End Capabilities: [100 v2] Advanced Error Reporting UESta: DLP- SDES- TLP- FCP- CmpltTO- CmpltAbrt- UnxCmplt- RxOF- MalfTLP- ECRC- UnsupReq- ACSViol- UEMsk: DLP- SDES- TLP- FCP- CmpltTO- CmpltAbrt- UnxCmplt- RxOF- MalfTLP- ECRC- UnsupReq- ACSViol- UESvrt: DLP+ SDES+ TLP- FCP+ CmpltTO- CmpltAbrt- UnxCmplt- RxOF+ MalfTLP+ ECRC- UnsupReq- ACSViol- CESta: RxErr- BadTLP- BadDLLP- Rollover- Timeout- NonFatalErr- CEMsk: RxErr- BadTLP- BadDLLP- Rollover- Timeout- NonFatalErr+ AERCap: First Error Pointer: 00, GenCap+ CGenEn- ChkCap+ ChkEn- Capabilities: [150 v1] Vendor Specific Information: ID=0001 Rev=1 Len=024 <?> Capabilities: [180 v1] #19 Kernel driver in use: atlantic but when I look in DSM > Networking > Network Interface > LAN 2 "Disconnected" and the Network Status is "--" I have link lights and a "CAT7" cable between the computers.
