I can't seem to remove the read only via the DSM web gui. Ialso tried via ssh to remount with -RW without successful. so I thought maybe i am passing through the hard drive incorrectly.

Hi, So i have been using DSM7 on proxmox for a little bit, created some shares and played around, i am passing through an 18TB drive, now it became read only and I can't seem to make it read/write again. Do I need to pass it with any specific cache settings? The drive is fine i think, passing the SMART tests.

Hi everyone, i just restored my DSM vm from backup and for some reason i can't login. i am 99% sure i am using the correct password....is there a way to reset the password ?

Hi, i changed from a proxmox set up to a pop OS desktop with DSM7 installed as a qemu VM. when i try to add the hard drives they are not being detected and saying "not initialized" any idea what i did wrong?

i do prefer ESXI or KVM.....will wait a bit for a loader but might try VMM (it'll probably not be great though because it'll be a vm within a vm)

I am currently running DSM as a VM on proxmox. but can't decide if i should pass through my new 8TB hard drive, or rather use a virtual hard drive and use some of the space on other vms. any thoughts?

ok please confirm: posted version above: Last tested and worked for me is 6.2 update 2 with bootloader 1.03 (DS3617). is this 1.03a or b? i am sure i am using the right one.....103b 3617

I installed the PAT file, it did a reboot. it did not ask me to chose a password yet.

I am using the latest loader ,1.04 ,with : https://www.kickinass.net/xpenology-6-2-unter-proxmox-installieren/ now i can't even see the network. qm terminal 102 doesn't show anything! just to confirm....do i set the serial number on the newly created hard disk or the image? blessendor, thanks but your config does not work for me.

Hi everyone, i am really struggling here. I checked grub.cfg and its got the following: set sn=A8ODN02468 set mac1=0011322CA603 so i changed my mac and serial number to match but i still can't boot. EDIT: ok changing bios to seabios, i managed to install but now its just saying: booting from hard drive....

Hi everyone...not sure if it was mentioned before. Running proxmox, trying to install 6.2, the grub screen comes on for 1 second and then the VM is switching off......what am i missing ?
