  1. I know it's not a real solution, but i've got LSI controller working. I have a HP g7 N54L and the only proven supported SAS controller stated there is actually p410 according to owner's forum. So when i've bought it and it was not working under DSM, which was a primary g7's purpose, it was a disappointment. Anyway, i've managed to scavenge a LSI controller and it works! Hope this will be handy for you. Part number is sas9207-8i H3-25412-00H. Don't know if this was necessary, but i have also taken @IG-88 extra.lzma v4.7 from driver extension post. Here's module list, if you'd like. Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: ahci Kernel driver in use: ohci_hcd Kernel driver in use: ehci-pci Kernel driver in use: ohci_hcd Kernel driver in use: ehci-pci Kernel driver in use: ohci_hcd Kernel driver in use: ehci-pci Kernel driver in use: mpt2sas Kernel driver in use: tg3 And btw, during install of DSM itself, it was no problems with firing up 6.1.5 (most recent firmware as of march 2018) directly on top of 1.0.2 loader. I will put it to more tests soon, but as of moment two 2,5" disks are in. Seagate Firecuda ST1000LX015 is working. WD Black WD10S21X SHDD is showed, but capacity is 0. I won't care too much as first it's SHDD, a bit special case and then this disk was decommissioned from previous device due to high error rate - probably it was it's time...
