I am not 100% sure but you can create the USB boot drive following the same process you followed earlier. and just don;t follow the DSM installation part. or even just re install the DSM 5 beta with all settings preserved option checked that should work.

Hi guys, First of all thanks for all the contributors. I was on DSM 5 beta and then i enabled WOL. and after this package center starting giving connection setting error. then updated the dsm version to latest using GNOboot method and everything went smooth. But package center is still not working and giving same "Connection setting wrong error" I have checked my connection and everything is fine there. i can also access the nas on local network without any problem. but somehow my HP N54L is blocking internet connection for package center. even community package lists are not being updated. I am clueless at the moment, any pointers to solve this would be greatly appreciated.
