DSM 6 Virtual Machine Manager PCI Passthrough
Qi-Ze Huang replied to Tango38317's topic in Synology Packages
I'm interested in this, too. This would be very useful for VMM. -
Thank you for all your replys and help. I booted Dell PowerEdge R415 with Ubuntu Server 16.04 as advised, and the attached file is the log @Polanskiman asks for. Now I guess I missed the driver "pata_atiixp" and don't know how to configure that in DSM6.1.4 yet. Hi everyone, Here I have Dell PowerEdge R415. I installed 4 HDDs in hard drive trays and 1 SSD in DVD caddy (taking original optical drive off). I booted it with Jun's loader, successfully installed DSM6.1.4 and built RAID 6 with 4 HDDs. At first, I hope to use SSD as cache. But DSM won't recognize SSD (5th drive) in DVD caddy. However, SSD's seen in BIOS. I logged into DSM's ssh console and checked dmesg. I found no messages related to fifth drive. Any suggestions? Related pictures are attached below. And dmesg log file is here: dmesg-log.txt Picture1 - SSD is connected through "SATA E" cable. Picture2 - SSD in DVD caddy Picture3 - The whole view of Dell PowerEdge R415
