it's very easy to upgrade ram in DS1812+ so yes, I would do that anyway. But do you have an advice for the original problem?

I have a DS1812+ that is nearly identical to the ds1813+ . The latter gets DSM 7 officially, the former doesn't. I was wondering how I could run DSM 7 unofficially on the ds1812+ . One idea that would come to mind is to make it believe it is a ds1813+.... Any ideas how this cross-flashing could be done? Or how I could run Xpenology on the ds1812+ ? Der iulian_2007, I have the same problem: AS LONG AS "04-HD MAX" temperature is not recieved by the BIOS of Gen8, the fans will not go to the lowest speed... If you have any solution for this, let me know! Thanks.
