  1. Bit the bullet and fitted a PCI-E SATA controller and hooked the 3tb up to that - seen straight away by Xpenology and added to the volume. Still no idea why the drive wasnt seen on the Optical port, but sorted now.
  2. Sorry about the double post guys, got a syntax error when posting the first time, so tried submitting again and its duped it. Can someone delete the dupe? Thanks
  3. Hi guys, totally stumped with this. Have got Xpenology all installed, and its an amazing job, so thanks to all the guys who made it possible. Have got a 4 drive volume up and running on a HP N54L, but have now added an extra 3tb as a 5th drive but cant get Xpenology to detect it. Have tried setting the BIOS to AHCI and IDE and the drive is seen in the BIOS every time, but it is never detected in XPenology to let me expand my volume. Also tried SSH, also doesnt detect anything other than dev/sda - dev/sdd. Anyone else run into this problem and fixed it?? Have flashed the BIOS to allow all ports to run at full speed etc, so any pointers would really be appreciated
