Hi Folks, I'm trying to install zoneminder in a docker container under DSM 6.2 and was not successful. Wondering if anyone installed zoneminder within docker or can provide any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi Folks, I'm trying do a ESXI 6.7 with latest DSM build with HBA controller passthru. I've tried this with an HBA that i currently have, but after a few days, drive errors will show up in DSM. Wondering if there are any recommended HBA's that folks are currently using in passthru mode under ESXI. Thanks in advance!

Just got this server (IBM x3630M4) up at running with DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 1 under ESXI 6.7. Unit has 14 Hotswap Bays (fully loaded) with SAS expander connected to the SAS2008 HBA (6Gb Performance Optimized HBA). Had to flash to LSI SAS2008 P20 firmware to get it to work correctly with DSM.

- Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: NEW INSTALL - Loader version and model: JUN'S LOADER v1.03b - DS3615xs - Using custom extra.lzma: NO - Installation type: BAREMETAL on HP54L with C1E disabled in BIOS - Additional comments: Installed intel NIC (PRO/1000PT INTEL QUAD PORT), does not see onboard NIC

Just installed xpenology with dsm 6.1 (ds3615) with juns loader 1.02b on the PX6-300d (6 drive NAS). Pretty straight forward using this guide to boot from usb. GUIDE: Customer OS on PX6-300D 1) Had to plug the USB in the back usb port. 2) Entered the PID/VID/SN and mac1 and mac2 3) also required to enter: SataPortMap=6 After that it booted right up and installed DSM with the synology assistant. Working good so far with no issues and all 6 bays can be utilized.

This was all I did to upgrade my HP54L 6.0.2 baremetal to the latest with 1.02b bootloader. The key is just disabling C1E in the bios. Good Luck!

Just migrated my N54L with 5 drives from 5.2 to 6.02 with this loader. Everything seems to be working fine. Absolutely love it. Thanks for the Great and hard work!!

I figured it out on the clean install and keeping files. For those that want to try, here are the steps: 1) Change the version back to 5.1 so that your diskstation can be found by the synology assistant. No need to complete the downgrade, just modify the version file. Follow the instuctions/link previously posted: http://xpenology.me/how-to-downgrade-from-dsm-5-2/ 2) boot XPEnoboot 5.2-5565.2 and select install/upgrade 3) select connect (instead of install) when synology assistant finds the diskstation. 4) Web page will open that allows you to do a fresh install and keep files... follow instructions in the web page.

How would one go about doing a clean install and keep data intact? Thanks!

So I updated my n54L from 5.1 to 5.2 and here is what I've observed: 1) DSM takes longer than normal to start... If you let it sit there it'll eventually come online via the web gui. NOTE: my DSM is using static IP, not DHCP. 2) some apps would not start (uninstall and trying to redownload would result in a database upgrading error)... I had to backup the configuration and restore the same configuration via the control panel. After the configuration restore, the apps can be started. 3) SSH service would not start... had to uncheck ssh and reenable via the control panel everytime after a reboot to get it to start. 4) Diskstation is not discoverable by Synology Assistant after the upgrade (even though it's accessible via the web gui). I have the same problem while trying to update my N54L from 5.1 to 5.2 and failed on writing configuration. After forcing the system to reboot, I get the Partition is not Diskstation style error. Can someone provide some pointers on how to recover? Thanks a ton!

Just wanted to share with the folks with HDHOMERUN PRIME this great plugin for plex. It allows plex to stream live tv from the hdhomerun prime. I installed it on my HP54L running DSM 5.0 4458. Thanks for the advice gnoboot. I had to disconnect the SATA DVD drive to get gnoboot to boot. After that, the upgrade was a breeze. DSM 5.0 4458 upgraded and running nicely on my HP N54L. Keep up the good work gnoboot.... Appreciate all your hard work!

Hi folks new user here. I installed the trantor DSM 5.0 beta on my new HP N54L microserver. It worked great... thanks trantor for his hard work!. With the release of DSM 4458, I was hoping to upgrade to that build with gnoboot apha 10.3. However, I keep getting the "Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed" hang issue. Any insight on how I can get around this? Thanks a ton. And once again... Thanks Trantor and gnoboot for their great work.
