  1. yes, i got it to working using gnoboot alpha 10. worked like a charm,
  2. just my feedback by trying the alpha10 for a few minutes. Awesome work. it worked straight out of the box, i have had no problems whatsoever. running on esxi 5.5 on a hp n54l microserver
  3. but i can't give any feedback, i've tried alpha 5, had problems, not sure if its gnoboot related or not, and i have not been able to try out alpha 9 before alpha 10 came. i know you want feedback but some users wont be able to give feedback. i rather don't give feedback when i feel i can't tribute to anything, then just writing down something for the ability to get the password. /Best regards Henrik
  4. i would love that aswell since that's what im struggeling with now. im trying to get DSM 5.0 working since i have that on my bare metal n54l.
  5. i would like the password for alpha10 aswell, im running alpha 5 since im a linux noob and not learnt how to add the new kernel to the old image
  6. setup is hp n54l running of a usb memory 1 250 datastore drive from the optical bay sata connection 3*3tb wd red drives rdm mapped straight to the dsm machine 16gb memory now its running flawless with trantors release running straight off the machine. but my plan is to run a few more virtual machines on this server. so i went for esxi. used a ubuntu live cd and dd'd in gnoboot alpha 5, tried official pat and same pat as trantors and it installs just fine but the error i get straight at the diskstation login if i look on the console is : scemd[10103]: segfault at ip 8 "loads of numbers" and it ends with error 4
  7. so anyone got tips how to install gnoboot with dsm5.0 beta on a n54l. best i managed so far was to install but it restarts directly when i reach Diskstation login: running esxi 5.5
  8. how did you convert the gnoboot image to vmdk?
