  1. The advice is that 2.2 is quite broken which is why it has been taken down, if you want to use DSM6 then use jun's loader, viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20216 and let quicknix finish his work in peace.
  2. Esxi portion of 2.3 which address this issue has not been released yet. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk Thanks for the heads up. Don't stress it over Christmas, enjoy the holidays.
  3. Did you update the Configuration tool first? I found I got this error if I did that. Also did you set the VID/PID of your USB stick?
  4. Doesn't that suggest you only have a license for v6 of Surveillance Station?
  5. Think i had that. Turned out I had tried to RDM the same drive twice I think.
  6. Well done. Happy it worked out for you.
  7. I did load ESXi v6 but only for a short while and can't remember now if I tried RDM. I will try it again tonight. Just a heads up on ESXi v5.5 HP edition. I couldn't get the latest build to install. Had to fall back to the previous release.
  8. Maybe it's something different about ESXi v6. I havent tried that version yet. Provided you haven't upgraded your VM's to what ever the latest hardware version is for v6, (I'm assuming it's v11), you should be able to install ESXi v5.5 and import the existing VM's. I would use a new USB stick and if it fails you can just reboot from your existing v6 ESXi USB drive.
  9. OK, have you tried creating each disk as a single drive array on the RAID and then creating the SHR within Synology. That would be my preference as that way you will have more flexibility without losing redundancy. For instance you could add a 4TB drive at a later date.
  10. I'm guessing you haven't tried setting the BIOS to use AHCI? I have the Gen8 and currently using 4 x 500GB via RDM, having first set the controller to AHCI.
  11. The web server appears to be running; This is what I get from http://diskstationip Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, admin and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. From http://diskstationip:500 I get; Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found. Back
  12. I've seen mention various issues with permissions during upgrades, have you checked all is OK in this area?
  13. Worked for me, thanks. Bit of a scary moment when it said it had failed, but rebooted itself and eventually came online
  14. I've done a few re-installs of the VM as using ESXi and not lost any data yet, appears to recognise the fact that the volumes are already synology disks, but YMMV.
