  1. Guys hope you can help this is really getting to me.

I use no-ip for my DDNS but i have noticed that every night it comes up with an authentication failed error?????

The only way to fix it is to place the N54L in the dmz click update and it comes up with the normal green status.

I automatically assumed that it was a port forwarding issue so port forwarded 53 as synology stated along with all the other usual suspects but it is still the same?

Unfortunately i am using a Home hub 5  i know please dont slate me.......

Anybody else seen this issue? I have the latest security fix dsm 4.3

  2. My disks are 2 x 2TB in SHR but I dont see any reason why this should not work using the same method as i believe it is software raid. I will back up the data to another disk then attempt the migration at least then we will no for definite if it works. As there is 790gb of data stored it might take some time.

  4. Hi there,

Been running a Synology 214 NAS for a couple of months but have now purchased a N54L.

Is it possible to install XPEnology on the N54L then using the software install the existing disks (RAID SHR) from the DS214 without loosing the data?

Just to avoid all the hassle of backing up and copying.
