  1. Ive managed to get the ASM1062 Sata PCI-E Card running on a passthrough. But its using the baremetal login. Is there a way to make it so the ESXi version pulls the driver for it?

  3. Think there is no driver for that card. Running also vm with passthrough and this works good. But I use a lsi card. But the same card works fine on baremetal Also works in ubuntu vm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Hi All, Great Loader, Ive got an issue on ESXi 6.0. I have a baremetal which im wanting to Migrate to a VM. Ive currently got 2 ASM1062 Sata PCI-E Card in the baremetal but when i pass through the same card on the VM it doesnt seem to detect it inside DSM. Is there anything i need to do on the Grub.cfg to get it to detect it? Baremetal is Running DSM 6.0.2-8451 Update 9 VM Is Successfully running the same Version but unable to detect the passthrough with the 6.0.2 V1.01 Bootloader. VM Is Successfully running the same Version but unable to detect the passthrough with the 6.1 V1.02a Bootloader.
  6. I agree. Maybe per platform as well. So separate thread for barebones / Hyper V / ESXi / Virtual Box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So the recommended 1 would be ESXi My options are that i can think of Option 1: Main Nas & Back Up on Same Bare Metal Machines Option 2: Main Nas & Back Up on Separate Bare Metal Machines (Nas Using i5 / BackUp Using i3) Option 3/4: Main Nas in VM & Backup on Bare metal (or opposite) Option 5: Put both in same vm Option 6: Put in separate VM's I want to utilise my i5 & 16GB Ram. So thinking options 1 & 2 are out. I could use both systems and put on esxi and then have main nas and backup running on separate servers but thats abit overkill. But could set up a HA Cluster in DSM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
