  1. Google won't let me download alpha 1.3... says Quota Reached. [spoiler=Full Error From Google Drive]Sorry, you can't view or download this file at this time. Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared with many people, it may take up to 24 hours to be able to view or download the file. If you still can't access a file after 24 hours, contact your domain administrator. Can someone PM me a link to it that's not in Gno's GoogleDrive?
  2. Heya gno... can I get the password? Been testing since initial release but don't have it working with my primary systems. mpt2sas driver isn't working on Dell Perc H310s flashed to LSI 9211-81 IT Firmware (run with 3 in primary system). I have had it working once or twice on old AOC-SATA-MV8s but always crashes within a couple days (run with 3 in secondary system) Don't have it working with AOC-SASLP-MV8s. Have ~6 different systems to test on and play with.
  3. no, don't format your thumb drive. The best solution would be to use something like gparted live CD and resize the partition on the USB Disk but you can probably just ignore the error without issue. This happens because the folks that create the various xpenology releases usually only have their .img file create a 28-32MB partition... you still have about 7.6 GB of usable space on your thumb drive in your case... If you resize I'd suggest bumping your boot partition to ~128 MB. You won't ever run out of space and you can use the other space if you create another partition on it.
  4. don't see it on gno's site. I've mirrored it here: http://emmteh.me/tmp/gnoboot-alpha5.7z
  5. 5.0 is currently beta (has been since 1/23/14). There are a couple 5.0 beta version that are out but iSCSI isn't really working well in either. gnoBoot does v5.0 Beta: http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2152 Trantor's v5.0 Beta: http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2219

  7. gno... system is currently crashed, will try again tomorrow. Was messing around with Trantor's beta which works fine with all 24 disks enabled but as soon as I create a volume system panics and reboots and comes back up in uninstalled state. Will try gnoboot alpha8 again tomorrow and provide lspci and dmesg output.
  8. @ Diverge Right now I'm running baremetal. Trantor's Beta 7 HBA Version picks up the HBAs and disks but I can't get gnoboot to do so (Version 4.2-3827 or 5.0-4418).
  9. hey gno... how do I get mpt2sas working? I've got alpha8 up and running with 3x Dell H310s flashed to LSI 9211-8i IT Firmware but I don't have any disks detected other than onboard SATA. I've tried to insmod stuff but they're already loaded (mptsas, megaraid_sas, etc). I think I need mpt2sas but it's in not /lib/modules/
  10. I couldn't get gnoboot to recognize any disks on those cards yesterday (tried 3). The SAT2-MV8 works (PCI-X)
  11. Same here on a SuperMicro motherboard. I'm not using onboard SATA though -- have disks hooked up to LSI SAS HBAs. scemd segfaults and system shuts off.
  12. Yessir! I have the optimal settings but I always end up with a crashed volume on reboot. It doesn't happen right away... but always within a few days.
  13. I'm installing in a 24bay SuperMicro Chassis. Server has Xeon 5650 CPU, 24GB RAM, 10gig Ethernet, and 3 LSI HBAs. I haven't had much luck with the DS3612 codebase. I can get all the drives to show up after editing synoinfo.con but things always end up breaking
  14. How do we install the RS3614xs+ codebase? I see you mentioned that you tested it in your OP. I've tried editing the v5 grub entry and changing DS3612xs to RS3614xs+ but it didn't work.
  15. How do we add the mpt2sas drivers for and LSI HBA in IT mode?
