    DSM 6.2 Loader

I'm doing a new build with a j1900 processor is it worth using 6.2 or 6.1, how stable is 6.2 at the moment?
  3. Just a quick update - I've managed to get it working by dropping the memory down to 8GB
  4. Motherboard : Asrock Q1900M CPU: J1900 Lan: Realtek Gigabit Lan (internal) Lan2: (PCIE) Dell H092P INTEL PRO/1000 GT QUAD-PORT Xpen Version : Loader: 1.02b (DSM 3615) Extra: extra3615_v4.8 Hope someone can Help, I've installed a couple of Xpenology's but this was has stumped me. I've tried with various combinations or adding the extra file and using the original file but whatever I do the unit does not appear on my network?? Is it worth Trying with DSM17 - not sure if I'm using the right one for this processor? Any help will be appreciated.

  6. Yes - I've done a complete reinstall with a new serial in the loader and it seems to have solved the problem - not sure why!! Wondering is they was some settings from the old install getting through somehow (I was having problems with the virtual Machine as well which seems to have been solved too)
  7. I've managed to solve this myself by completely reinstalling the loader (with a new serial), not sure if the serial number is attached to the old setup and was the problem. I also updated the extra file in the loader so I'm not too sure which actions fixed it.
  8. I'm just using the adaptive load balancing options. The nics are all on the same PCIe card. Yes I've read the link - if I delete a bond then I lose a lan port (not shown on the list and the status lights on the hardware are off on one port) - the nics are given a new mac address and the DSM doesn't show up on the network. I'm going to try a fresh install to see if it solves the problems.
  9. I've had to reinstall my DSM because of Bad sectors on a disk. I reinstalled the DSM by putting a new hard drive in and installing DSM to that (only drive present at the time) Now when I try to install VMM im getting the error 'Failed to Create the Cluster', I'm using the correct MAC addresses for the Nics (theres 4), I've tried enabling open vswitch but I'm still getting the error. I had VMM running perfectly before the reinstall - will there be any rogue settings left on the other volumes that I have reinstalled on the system. Any ideas?
  10. I have a problem with the network connections ive got 4 lan ports which work fine on a clean install. If a Create a bonded connection it won't let me use the 4th lan port, I can create a 2 port bond on lan 1 & 2 but if I try and create one on 3&4 it goes through the motions and says bond 2 but doesn't actually create one, if I then delete the bond the 4th lan is lost. It looks like its assigning a different MAC address to the deleted bonded lan connections. Any Ideas, I'm guessing my config file is fine as everything initially works.
  11. Install type: New Bare Metal with 1.02b (ds3615) Machine: Lenovo TS140 Xeon Extras : Intel Pro/1000 VT SATA PCI Card Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help - I've tried installing on a bare metal machine with the above using the guide but the machine can't be found when searched for - its not appearing on my routers attached devices either. I've tried installing it with Extra.lzma file and everything works except the SATA PCI Card (so I know the Grub config file is setup correctly etc.) so I lose a few hard drives. I've tried booting from uefi and legacy but with the same results. I've also tried disabling the onboard Nic.
