  1. I am also interested in installing qnap in VM. I would to love have both synology and qnap
  2. Check dmesg, and see if you're getting same errors in the pics I posted a few posts back. Yes, I check the dmesg and I have the same exact errors. On a side note, I tired using nanoboot 5.0.2.1 two days ago and I had the same exact errors on dmesg. It was able to detect the LSI cards but failed to mount because of name length problem. ganoboot 10.5 and nanoboot 5.0.2.2 uses the same version of MTP2SAS version. I am also willing to test Firmware. Thank you
  3. Hi, I have 2 LSI 9211 SAS cards and drives connected to SAS cards in nanoboot 5.0.2.2 are not being detect.
  4. Does anyone know if LSI 9211 card is supported in Nanoboot 5.0.2.2? Thank you
  5. Hi, I have 26 drives running on my Xpenlogy system. All the drives are detected by the system but USBs drives are being detected as Internal Drives. Here is my synoinfo.cfg in /etc and /etc.defaults usb: 0000 0000 0000 0000 1100 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 = C000000 Internal drives: 0000 0000 0000 0000 0011 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 = 3FFFFFF My usb drives are being detected as - /dev/sdAA and /dev/sdAB does anyone know how to make my usb drives detect as regualar usb drives? Thank you
  6. Hi, Does anyone have list of drivers in Nanoboot? I installed on my system with LSI 9211-8i card and drives were not detected. they work fine on Gnoboot 10.5 Thank you
  7. I was hoping to see 1 synology device in SA when I have multiple NIC connected. I guess I will just create a bound network to resolve that problem. Thank you
  8. Hi, Yes I have added the lines for Eth5 and eth 6. I did see that file says MAXLAN = "8" so I connected all 5 ports to the switch and I see 5 synology in synology assistance tool. all 5 synology devices in synology assistance have same serial number and same version... only MAC address is different on all of them. I have default serial number and I do not have any applications installed.
  9. Hi Stanza, Thank you for the reply. All 6 of my NICs are working fine and have IP address and XPenology will see all 6 NICs and can use then without any problem. Problem is that, Xpenology will only spoof first 4 NIC ports MAC addresses From Dmesg: mac1=00241DD67728 mac2=00241DD67729 mac3=00241DD67730 mac4=00241DD67731 it does not say anything else about mac5 and mac6. also in GUI: here is the list of Mac address: LAN1=00241DD67728 LAN2=00241DD67729 LAN3=00241DD67730 LAN4=00241DD67731 LAN5=00151728065E LAN6=00151728065F Because of the two types of MAC address, synology assistant will pick up my NAS as two devices. Thank you
  10. Hi All, I am new to Xpenology. I have 6 NICs in my NAS but xpenology is set to only 4. here is my grup.conf #serial --unit=0 --speed=115200 #terminal serial default 0 timeout 3 fallback 0 title DSM 5.0-4418 BETA root (hd0,0) #vender /vender show #hw_model kernel /zImage root=/dev/md0 ihd_num=0 netif_num=6 syno_hw_version=DS3612xs mac1=00241DD67728 mac2=00241DD67729 mac3=00241DD67730 mac4=00241DD67731 mac5=00241DD67732 mac6=00241DD67733 sn=B3J4N00355 initrd /rd.gz synolgy assistant is picking up two NAS because of MAC address difference. can someone help me change all MAC address to same type so sinology assistant picks up my NAS as 1 device.
