Gaunts Ghost

Hello people New to Xpenology. I have been running Synology boxes for 10 years and I finally decided to go the Xpenology way as I have a Xeon 1230v2 from a workstation I would like to use. So I think I would like to go bare-metal as it seems simpler than virtualizing and Synology more og less have the features I need. I checked Hardware list and my MB has the correct Intel network controller. So is there an updated guide to DSM 6? Are there any downsides to DSM 6 compared to DSM 5? As mentioned I know my way around the DSM system, I have however never worked with Xpenology so I am a bit at a loss here.
