  1. Have you tried to hook up mouse/keyboard and go to the Menu --> System --> Network and look if network cards persists? If you can, then you can try to recover the settings from there. While on the other hand, I have other network issue with the Odroid H2+, which the second NIC would not work after the 2nd boot. Found out somehow when I have Virtual Machine, the vSwitch would be enabled. And the config file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts is missing the ifcfg-eth1 but only ifcfg-ovs_eth1 exists. Then if I created a ifcfg-eth1 file that refers back to ifcfg-ovs_eth1 (via BRIDGE=ovs_eth1) and restart the network, OH2's 2nd network came back up. But the file would be gone again every time it restarts. So I create a cron task from the DSM's Task Scheduler and create this user define script and runs every time it boots (with delay).
  2. DVA1622 AI works on VM After I had successfully make AI working on the baremetal NUC 6 Skill Canyon, I am now able to make it working on ESXi 6.7 on the Quartz Canyon nuc9vxqnx w/ GPU passthough for Intel UHD 630. I guess it's due to a Pro version of NUC with Xeon processor that supports with Vt-D. My next step would be passthough a Quadro P2000 for DVA3221 in VM on the same ESXi box as soon as it arrives.
  3. Just wanna report down here too as my Odroid H2+ working properly as baremetal after bunch of trials and errors. I would believe enabling eMMC would be the cause of fail boot after installations. Here's my specs: Odroid H2+ 8GB RAM (2133Mhz+2400Mhz pull from other Synology NASes) Seagate 1TB HDD (Tried WD Black but fail to run due to power issue)
  4. I finally made it with my Odroid H2+ that's keeping laying around. As DVA1622 utilizes Intel UHD onboard graphics, I would give it a try. At first I couldn't get it working and had similar error as Neilyboy earlier, in which v1.0-beta6 and 7 I could not get the first reboot after the initial setup (no ping no discovery). I've tried even earlier beta4 and beta5 builds but none of them even get into the initial setup screen. Then I tried to tweak with my CMOS settings, disabled Sound Card, lower Intel UHD RAM settings, and eventually found out that I've got the eMMC enabled before. Once I tuned the settings and another fresh installs, my Odroid H2+ could eventually make it ping-able and get into the DSM finally. Of course with the DVA1622 setup, the first thing that I tested is the AI detection and make it successfully working properly, just like my genuine DVA3221. The only downsize of DVA1622 limitation is only one NIC network card is detected by DSM.
  5. I actually bought that DVA3221 physical unit and for the first setup it does search Internet for something, THEN creates volume and the surveillance package automatically. So when I build a red-pill loader for DVA3221 I assume it would do the same and since the key is gen-ed so it fails the test and fall back for normal NAS 2cam license. In the meantime I'm trying to get a video card to get the AI to work, as I have many jobs to run to search for people/vehicle objects that I need a second unit. I'm thinking purchasing the Quadro P2000 as it's been tested by previous post.
  6. Precisely. Deny access from the Internet as soon as the Welcome screen comes up. Once it has no Internet to access, it fails to use its DVA3221 serial key to send back Synology for validation. Once you pass the setup where it automatically creates volume and install the Surveillance Station, you will find it's got 8 license keys. Then you connect back to Internet and continue the 8 cam license.
  7. I had the same problem too initially. But I managed to get away with it by make sure it won't connect to the Internet when it initialize the setup. Since this is a DVA3221 as stated as SynologyNVR, the initial setup would automatically create a SHR volume for you, and install the Surveillance Station immediately. And right at that step it checks your serial online if it's valid, if not like us it would give you a default 2 cam license only. By removing the ability to access the Internet for the initial setup, it will never checks again and you could download the Surveillance Station from Package Center and install upon.
  8. Worked with my 4-5 years old board, Cthim ITX M4S2GAP, running with Atom N270 1.6Ghz, 945GSE + ICH7, 1GB RAM, dual Realtek 8111C Giga Lan. Had to use x86 (214play) version of this 32bit processor, and forget about in use of the CF card slot. Must use USB key to boot. Only one of the LAN ports works. I guess it's the limited nature of the 214play. This is my first time to actually make the use of Xpenology box w/o using esxi.
