  2. Hello, i have 2 onboard nics wich are connected and a dual port NIC wich is not connected at the moment. Is it possible to just shutdown the dsm and replace the dual port through an quad Port NIC or do i have to reinstall xpenology? thanks
  3. it seems that a that the nukmber of a hard drive is wirtten on it.so that i have have to recognize all disk and than swap the disks in right order into the slots. I Have tested this with 3 ssds and it worked.
  4. Hello, i'm using the 4.3.3810 Beta 8 with hba Drivers and an LSI 9201-16i. it works fine, after i changed the synoboot.cfg so that i can see all devices. I'm worried about the numbering of the disks. It is not like the Ports of the LSI Controller. It seems that they are numbered in the order of inserting into the system. Now i have 3 ssd on the last ports of the lsi controller but in the dsm they are Disk 3, 13,14. How can i change this. thanks Robert
  5. the output ist still there in beta 8 - some ideas?
  6. Hello, is it possible to use a 10Gb FC Network Card like the Intel X520 with the current beta of xpenology ? what is the current maximum of usable network interfaces? in the configs there are lines for an eth7 but i read in an other thread that there max 4 nics because the DS3612 only has 4 interfaces. i have an intel board with 2 onboard nics and an pcie card with 2 ports. i want to change the pcie card to an 4 ports (wich will be a second lacp bond) or an 10GB LC interface- thanks for your answers
  7. can i use the beta 6 hba synoboot with the dsm 5 pat or does the dsm5beta already have hba drivers included

  9. Hi, is it better to use a normal sas/sata controller like the LSI 9201-16i for the Xpenology or the 9260-16i wich is an SAS/SATA Raid Controller with Cache Memory and an optional Backup Battery. Does anybody have one of this in use with a Xpenology installation At the moment i us an older 3ware RAID Controller (PCI-64) with an synboot with hba drivers. Does the 9201 also need hba drivers or are they only needed for RAID Controllers. at last i have a questions about LSI Controllers - What is the IT Mode ? (i think its a kind of non raid mode for raid controllers) thanks for your help

  11. hello, when i tried to test the performance of my Xpenolog 4.3 with the following command dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=2048 of=testfile. Instead of the copied bytes itz only shows the following 2048+0 records in 2048+0 records out I'm looking for a line like this 17179869184 bytes (17 GB) copied, 433.088 seconds, 39.7 MB/s but it doesn't show up in ssh session or console.
