I'm waiting for is the built in sync with Onedrive.

Just enable the beta channel in Package Manager and update the Cloud Sync to lastest beta version.

 

Plus it would be very nice to see what the new security center has to tell us in order to get DSM more secure.

And you'll always see 'hacked' and 'vulnerable' state due to nature of XPENOLOGY )

NanoBoot 5.0.2.4 works on this latest pat file.... i just tested it.

 

... press tab after booting NanoBoot then edit pat version...

have not tried migrating from 4482 to 4493 tho, to see whether existing files gets affected. will try it out then report afterwards.

 

Just did an upgrade from 4482 to 4493 and works. Will make some adjusted bootimages.

 

Could you mind to tell me how to adjust the boot images ?

Thx Gnoboot for supporting (Add MagicPro ProHDTV Dual USB multimedia driver from my request!)

I am currently using the 10.4 (HP N40L and upgrade from trantor 5.0 beta) perfectly and try to upgrade tio 10.5 by replacing the USB.

 

Unfortunately, I can boot it up and I can find my Syno in synology assistant.

But I can't login and wait a long of time to "Starting services."

 

And

 

I found the error on the screen, attached the below:

Loading module rr62x [fail]

and wait around few minutes the screen change to below screen:

 

Now I need to fallback to 1.4....

First you need to find on page 9 of this topic, my post with a link to the image of the usb drive and a link to the post with the image of DSM (.pat file)

Then you need to write the image to a USB flash drive using dd.

Next you need to modify the file named vender on a flash drive to set the mac-address of your server.

Then boot from usb, install DSM as usual.

Additionally you may write modules from https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5tpWhE ... sp=sharing to your DSM (/lib/modules)

No, I did not build this module, as I do not have a controller for testing.

You may build new kernel by yourself from my github repo, just enable CONFIG_MEGARAID_SAS in kernel config for your controller.

Of course, if you know this procedure.

Okay, if I clone your git repository and compile the kernel, the modules required for the N40L (LAN, Chipset, ...) will be already enabled or do I have to add other options than CONFIG_MEGARAID_SAS?

Could you provide a little procedure of how to compile it? I usually compile kernel by installing the kernel source package and make menuconfig, make defconfig, make && make install... I guess here is a bit different.

You may try to build qemu.

But if I install Debian chroot, I would be able to install .deb packages right?

I had try to install at Virtual box, it work great.

But I try to boot from my HP N40L, I cannot find the DSM from the Synolongy Assistant......
