there is nothing more to see - just wait a minute or two and if your network driver is present
you will see it through find.synology or in your routing table.
this line confused me too until i saw the nic was reseted after a few seconds
i used a ubuntu live for this.
you will find a grub.cfg file in folder grub on one of the partitions. edit vid/pid and it will install.

Works out of the box on bare metal. Updates, raid group creation and volume creation with btfrs.
Virtual DSM, Docker DSM, both network adapters.
all seems working perfectly.
