Hello, I have a problem with the "Backup and Replication" feature on DSM, I think there is no option for append / resume, and I wanted to know if you knew how I could enable it or if someone can tell me how to add it. Let me explain. First, you need to know that backups work well. I do not have a problem with that. On the other hand, when there is an Internet network break (the internet box or the 4G plant) and I restart the backup task, I realized that the NAS did not resume sending the last file where it had stopped just before, but it starts sending the last file from the beginning! Suddenly, when it comes to copy for example a ISO file of 350 GB, it starts again each time from the beginning. And since I lose the network every day because of a network connection loss around 3am, the file will never be sent since the NAS resumes every time I tried the backup mode "Synology" and the mode of "RSync" but even with RSync it does not resume where it left off. In fact, it misses the "--append" function in the RSync command line because if I run RSync manually with the "--append" option it works perfectly. Do you know how to get DSM back where it left off and how to add the "--append" option to the RSync command line? Thank you in advance !!

Bonjour, J'ai un petit problème concernant la fonction "Sauvegarde et Réplication" sur DSM, d'après moi, il manque l'option de reprise/append/resume, et je voulais savoir si vous saviez comment je pourrai l'activer ou si quelqu'un peut me dire comment la rajouter. Je m'explique. Tout d'abord, il faut que vous sachiez que les sauvegardes fonctionnent bien. Je n'ai pas de problème là-dessus. Par contre, lorsqu'il y a une coupure réseau Internet (la box internet plante ou la 4G déconne) et que je redémarre la tâche de sauvegarde, je me suis rendu compte que le NAS ne reprenait pas l'envoi du dernier fichier là où il s'en était arrêté juste avant, mais qu'il recommence à envoyer le dernier fichier depuis le début ! Du coup, quand il s'agit de copier par exemple un fichier ISO de 350 Go, il recommence à chaque fois du début. Et vu que je perds le réseau tous les jours à cause d'une perte de connection réseau vers 3h du matin, le fichier ne s'enverra jamais vu que le NAS reprend à zéro à chaque fois :( J'ai essayé le mode backup "Synology" et le mode de "RSync" mais même avec RSync il ne reprend pas là où il s'en était arrêté. En fait, il manque la fonction "--append" dans la ligne de commande RSync parce que si je lance RSync manuellement avec l'option "--append" ça fonctionne parfaitement. Hello ! I have a problem with high RAM usage during a transfer on my NAS 1. On my NAS 2 the problem doesn't appear. When I transfer via SMB a 10GB file for example, the RAM usage on my NAS 1 increase from 22% to 80% ! After the transfer, the RAM decrease to the normal value (22%), but sometimes the RAM stay at 80%. If I do the same thing on my NAS 2, the RAM stay at 22% all during the transfer. Can you tell me why on the NAS 1 the RAM increase during a transfer ? Because after some hours, the speed of the transfer decrease until 5MB/s instead of 100MB/s... To have again 100MB/s I have to reboot the NAS Nb : when I connect on my NAS 1 via SSH, nothing tell me why the RAM usage is high... all the process use around just 0.5% of RAM as you can see in the screens. Picture 1 : RAM usage at 89% Picture 3 : The sum of the process use at most 20% of RAM and not 89%! Pictures 4 et 5 : "htop" et "top" Command on terminal (we can see that lot of RAM is used but not by the processes Picture 6 : The swap use just around 50 MB of the RAM, so it seem to be not the swap.
